Your machine was difficult to track down. As far as I can tell, the 5260 is the Intel motherboard. Below is a link to a page where you can individually download the drivers you require. Best of luck! Greg
Computers are connected to the internet by phone if you have set up a dial-up connection. These days, the majority of users opt for high speed connections through a DSL or cable connection which uses an ethernet jack. (Looks like a phone jack, only larger). If your computer has a modem built in, that is the way to plug it into the phone system. But you still need to pay an internet service provider to get an account to actually get to the internet.
If the local area connection icon specifies as network cable unplugged, then the computer has not sensed the connection between the computer to the cable modem / DSL modem, please reseat the cable behind the cable / dsl modem to the computer. If the icon still shows unplugged, then change the network cable between the two.
If the issue still persists, please revert with more details lik the kind of internet connection used and the reason for reinstalling.
HI jar5. Did you install the ethernet driver after the Windows reinstallation? The DSL modem uses 2 interfaces. The USB and the Ethernet. YOu can use the modem´s Driver to use it thru the USB or you can use another computer go to the emachines´website and under support or drivers select your model and download the drivers because probably you also dont have sound, etc. I hope this helps. Hello there: Internet explorer has been having this problem for some time now it may just come and go so what i would suggest doing is first switching to Mozilla Firefox.. it handles multiple internet pages a lot better than windows explorer does and it is a lot faster too ad also depending on what you are using to connect to the internet has a lot to do with it too if you are using a dsl i would consider getting a hold of your dsl provider and asking them about switching over to a static or a dynamic link ip this way you will have the straight 1 on 1 instead of having the network going thru several tunnels before it get to you ok Hope this is very helpful for you Best regards Michael
ok what kind of internet connection are you trying to use.Is it DSL Cable if yes then contact your hardware manufacturer of the computer and then call the Internet service provider.Try another disc as well.
