Question about Mitsubishi WS-55807 TV

1 Answer

TV POWER ws55807

Guru sent me a solution, but that does not help. This TV does not power-up, therefore I cannot try the "input/device and menu" front panel diagnostic. There is absolutely no power indication (green light) at the front of the TV, thus it does not shut down.
The input fuse is okay.

Big Irish sent me a solution, but that did not help. I checked D9A31 for short and R9A33 for open on the power board. I noticed however, that there is no +5, no +12 and no 24 volts. The only voltage I was able to get was 220 and 136 at D9A21. I do hear a faint sound similar to that of high voltage when I turn the TV on and OFF.

Again there is no power light at the front of the TV and the TV does not come ON. Thanks for helping.

GOOD DAY; TRY THESE CAUSES: Cause #1 1. CHECK IC7A00 PIN 53 FOR LOW LOGIC (0 VOLTS), IF HIGH (3.3 VDC) CHECK FOR SHORTED D9A31 PART # 264P045050 AND OPEN R9A33 220 OHM 1/4 WATT ON THE POWER PCB. Cause #22. More than likely your TV has "COOLANT" (ethylene glycol) on the circuit boards. This fluid comes from the CRT's (picture tube) this fluid is used to keep the CRT's cool, such the name. This fluid from the CRT's leak when TV is on for long periods of time, the chamber expands and the seals leak.

One can remove this fluid by using "acetone" & small brush. The fluid is hard to see, use bright light, they spots can be smaller then a DIME. Also, the fluid can corrode the parts and traces on the boards. To protect the TV in future place heavy plastic or thick cardboard over affective area, make sure TV has proper air flow around TV.

If after the fluid has been removed and TV still does not work, call an Authorized Service Center to come out and repair TV after giving you an Written Estimate. The boards are not available.

Always try resetting the TV by unplugging it for one minute then plug back into A/C outlet and ALWAYS UNPLUG TV BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIR ON THE TV.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Is there any way to get an IC7A00 (p/n 275P497050) or the whole main board (p/n 930B866007)?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MITSUBISHI TV MODEL WS65819 THAT POPS ON AND OFF?

shutdown is happening= If set has been unplugged plug it back in and turn set on--when green power light goes off in a few seconds:

On front of set (not the remote) press and hold both the Menu and Input (Device) buttons at same time and hold for at least 5 seconds---then release both.

Power light will blink an error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks pause and repeat it for a total of 5 times.

Let me know what error code is and I will tell you what it means.

Using the remote control hand unit that came with the TV turn on TV. Then go to the set up menu. Locate the entry for Front Panel Lock (FPL) and select no. Once you have done that exit the set up menu then on the same remote push the "input" button while watching the screen. Push button once wait a few seconds for a picture to appear, if not then push the button again, continue until you have selected the input that provides a picture. Right now you are in the Front inputs you should look for Video 1 or 2.

Orion TVD2710. Lost remote, can't change signal input

I would suggest you try to find a universal remote that has an "input" or "source" button and program that one to your tv. By pressing the "source" or "input" button, it will change the input to the tv. I hope this helps! -Der Strom

Can't select front input without remote

I had the same problem, had a universal DirecTV remote that was able to control the volume/mute, power and channels (both TV and DirecTV), but the input button didn't work. There was no av/tv button on the front of the tv, and the autoregistration of channels didn't pickup the gamecube on the AV channel. What solved it was simply to press "00". I couldn't believe it, but it was that simple. Hope this helps you like it helped me, since the tv was not going to be of much use since we were using the RCA inputs, not the coax. Didn't want to try to conver the RCA to coax either.

RCA F31317 Model - Very strange problems

Sounds to me like there is an issue in the control circuit, and quite possibly the micro itself. If you have issue with both the remote and buttons I am thinking a microprocessor issue since they normally enter the micro at different locations and therefore would not have a single component cause a failure across both of them (Except the micro of course) Best option may be a service center.
