Intermintent working My kenmore electric dryer will work just fine for many drying cycles and then will stop in the middle of a cycle. It has power and the switch is good. This is the second time it has happenned. The first time I let it sit for about an hour and it started working again.

it is a 2004 model. I put in a half load and it will start for a few minutes. The noise it puts out is more then a hum, more like a stop using me sound or some big damage is on the way.

I replaced the tensioner and the belt, since I was there. It will start up and run for a few minutes and then shut down. I am using a medium to light load to test it.

How old is this dryer and does it get slower on heavy loads? Or do you hear a hum when loaded ?

I would say that your belt tensioner is out and is an easy fix. The models that have a top lint filter are a little more involved and the models having a kick panel are a 5 minute fix.

My 4 yr. old Maytag electric dryer stopped in the middle of drying towels and wouldn't restart. I called one repairman who told me it was my motor and I called another repairman closer to where I live and he came out and replaced my fuse. My dryer works fine now.

Hello, my kenmore dryer just stop working, light inside is still on but will not turn or come on Mod# 110.c66492500

Is the door completely shut? Did it stop working right in the middle of a cycle? Are you drying shoes in this load? I'd turn it off, and try it again. If this doesn't work, try it on another drying cycle. If this doesn't work, feel free to contact me again. I hope this works for you. Good Luck! Jim

Extremely low drum heat but setting is on HIGH.

Electric (Kenmore - 60931) dryer takes forever (several cycles) lately to dry clothes set on high heat (actual heat in tub feels low though). There are no obstructions in the venting and the 240 volt connection is fine. The timer rotates the dial (timer motor working). Help!!!
