I recently 'reset' my iPAQ as it was operating very slowly. After the reset all I get is the iPaq display the unit will not switch off or anything. The charge light is flashing and on the bottom right of the screen is P1.07 with 2.14 underneath it. I know the battery is about shot as I always run it on external power, I was goint to try and replace the battery by undoing the 4 screws on the rear of the case but the case will not split is there another catch or do you have to force it. Any ideas or comments please.

For Information, I persisted with the case problem and found it would pop open with a knife eased round the edges. I disconnected the battery and reconnected, then the screen came up like new, firthermore the battery I have believed was shot for about a year now is suddenly revitalized, showing 100% charge and not moving after being on for 30 mins. before you barely had time to switch it off after poering down from external. Conclusion: The connector was either misconnected or the connections had deteriorates, unpluging and repluging corrected the problem.
