Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F707 Digital Camera
I have a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera. When I start it I get a message saying "no memory stick" or "memory stick access". I have replaced the memory stick with no change. Sony wants $375 to look at it. Any suggestions?
The "no memory stick" error is likely caused by the ribbon cable connecting the memory stick bay. Instructions for how to fix this problem can be found on this web page. Following these instructrions, I had the problem on my F707 solved in less than 20 minutes.

I had the same problem. This is dumb but it worked on mine. Put memory stick in a card reader then put a picture on it and install it back in the camera and turn it on. worked on mine for some reason.

In DSCT1 Camera, the C:13:01 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. In C:13:01, the issue is with the Memory Stick being used in the Camera.
The Symptoms are:
Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB is not compatible with the DSCF707 Camera. Maximum capacity supported by the Camera is up to 128MB. Please try using a MS with 128 MB and check if it works. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media.
