Kenmore Dishwasher Control Lock

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: The Control Lock randomly turns on and disables washer from running. Holding down the Air Dry option key for four seconds as instructed has no effect. When this doesn't happen, the dishwasher works fine.

When a d/w has this kind of random problem it means either a bad control board or a loose connection on the control board. I don't recomend this kind of repair to the average homeowner. You could try the Repair Directory for a repairman. Also, if the d/w has a few years on it you you might want to consider the costs or repair verses replacement. The randomness of the problem makes it frustrating to run down.
