Toshiba laptop has black screen WITH BLUE password box how do i get past the box to get my laptop back/i've tried tons of different f keys and even took out the battery please help

If you did not set a password, first try by simply hitting enter (no words or characters in the box). If this does not work, restart the computer and press F11 or F12 to enter set up (only one or the other will bring you into setup). Once in setup, find where to set\change password. For "new" leave blank, and press enter. Delete anything that may be in this box. Do the same for the next box(es) for "re-enter" password; leaving the box blank and pressing enter. At the very end (right) of the screen, it should give a list of exit options (after selecting "reset" or "save" password; select "save changes and exit" option. The computer should restart automatically and bring you to either 1. The "blue" password screen, for which you will press enter. 2. The operating system Desktop, i.e. Windows etc. where all your icons and apps are displayed. If thus does not work, you need to reset the computer to its default (factory settings) which can be done following the same steps, and finding this option in the menus provided. I do not know what OS you have, but if it is Windows then the above is where to go.

Black screen blue box saying

some one must have put in a boot password to your laptop,
follow this:
When booting up, enter your BIOS setup (usually by pressing the F2 key at the appropriate time).

Locate the BIOS Password section and turn the ON STARTUP password to off. There is no standard setup for BIOS, so I can't give you exact instructions.

If this does not work, try:
remove cell & start your pc you will here beep...beep...beep...

then turn off your pc & restore your cell.Start your pc and
password is removed.

there is a battery on motherboard,a button cell, you can try removing that and start computer, then put it back, bios settings will be lost.
you can also try removing any hardware like ram,if you have two, when system is off, turn on , it will prompt for changes , enter bios and try remove password.

I have tried to change my laptops display so i can watch movies through my tv from my laptop, once i clicked on the dual display, the laptop has just gone to a screen with my screensaver in the background...

there should be a function button, look for a key with a blue symbol above or below the main symbol (on sony laptops, it's below the numbers on the top number keys) the symbol will either look like a box with a vertical line on each side or a box with an arrow pointing away from it. Hold the function (fn) key and press the key I described and that should do it. If you plug the laptop into your tv, you should get your desktop there, and you can undo what you did that way.
Hope this helps.

Hi, Ok when i turn the power button on my laptop comes up with a screen with the HP symbol on it and it gives me options at the bottom of the HP symbol saying change Boot Device Order by pressing the F9...

you need to press f9 and change the boot sequence to Hard Disk first, then re-boot, if it works, ok, els the OS may gone corrupt or Hard Disk may be damaged.
Good Luck

HELP!! PLEAse!!!!!

What you have done is put a BIOS password on your system, all you have to do is enter the password you typed after you hit F10 the first time when the system boots up. if the password does not work try hitting the caps lock key and entering the password again.
