Good Day;

More than likely if TV comes on some times, it sounds like you have a power supply problem, more than likely weak cap's , relay circuit to micro.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Sansui not coming on voltage on B+

Desoler out the horizontal output transistor and check the voltage. If there comes the voltage, replace the horizontal output transistor. It is faulty. If you wish to get more details about trouble shooting TV power supplies, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

My crt tv tcl 2927u apparently shut off.after a few minute i turn it on .but no picture appear on screen only the stand by led flashes continuesly

what you can do is a service repair in the tv which the power supply failed or the their is a problem in the horizontal section. if you don't have an idea in electronic repair just leave it to the trained tv technician to fix the problem sine it needs trouble shooting.

I have a ct-36hl43 thyat when turned on it tries to come on but shuts down and the red power keeps blinking and the only way to stop it from blinking is to pull the wall plug whats the problem??

If you can find the Horizontal output transistor make sure it is not shorted, this set had a issue of repeated shorting of that part after just a few minutes and the cure for that is well known.

To trouble shoot you will need a volt/ohm meter and how to use it, the set if shorted will not always blow the fuse but will go into shutdown to prevent further damage.

Let me know your skill level and if able to use a meter etc or not.

After a household power blips during bad weather, we have horizontal lines ....

Unfortunately there isn't any way to repair your tv as the magnet has distorted the tube that is in the tv and with CRT becoming obsolete the repair is likely to be very costly so probably your chaepest option is to buy a new tv .

GE 35gt740-powering up and shutting off by itself

The first step is look for a small coil, L14401, one side connected to the horizontal output transistor and the other side connected to the small horizontal drive transformer. Resolder both pins of the coil and the 4 pins of the drive transformer. Let me know if that cures the problem.

Power on problem

You might have a cap that shorts after it heats up causing your problem. The whinning sound you hear sounds like the power supply has a short on it. Usually when this happens though, it doesn't go away until some part such as the horizontal output transistor is replaced. RCA's are notorious for flybacks shorting and then shorting the horizontal output transistor. Your flyback may be shorting intermittently. Strange! Stargazer
