You will have to take out the fuel line to get to the filter or clean out the port at the carbuerator. It sounds like the fuel flow is not ample enough to continue burning

I have a Charmglow patio heater. I have taken it apart and cleaned all openings where the gas comes out, but the flame still goes out after 7-8 minutes. It lights fine but will not stay lit for more than...

From what you have described, it sounds like the Thermocouple is going bad and needs to be replaced. As far as not being able to relight the pilot right away is concerned ... that's a safety feature. The control has to reset itself, before you can relight it, if the pilot goes out on it's on. As it did in your care. It usually takes about 2 - 3 minutes for the control valve to reset itself.

As far as replacing the Thermocouple is concerned, it's somewhat of a specialty item, because of it being in a tall patio heater. However, armed with the Model # of your Charmglow Patio Heater, you can probably purchase one from the manufacturer, Chamglow.

Hope this helps.

I have a dyna-glo double tank top propane heater. turned it off by on/off valve and now the switch won't turn on..just turns..no propane coming out and it doesn't work..Please Help?

Don't them heaters have a safety thermacouple? You gotta push in on the heater and light it and hold in the knob a minute for the heat to get the magnet to hold open the gas valve? Then advance it over to where t will burn in single r dual mode right?

First turn the dial on the hot water heater to the off position and wait for 5 minutes. Then turn the dial on the water heater to the pilot position. Press in the dial and use a gas grill lighter, long wooden match, or similar device to light the pilot. Once the pilot is lit, continue to hold in the dial for about 1 minute then release and turn the dial to the temperature setting that's comfortable for you.

I would replace the flame sensor. This is a metallic rod that is wired into controls that will shut gas valve off if it does not sense a temperature increase. Hope this helps you. Thanks

Clicking noise at the gas valve/pilot light unit

It sounds like you might have a spark igniter on the unit that is being told to relight the burners. This is probably the tstat as this is the only control that "tells" the unit to come on. There isn't anything else internally that will cause this problem. Replace your tstat and I bet this solves your problem.

My dynaglo propane heater runs about 15 minuets then cuts out.

This sounds to me like the operating thermostat is going open prematurley. Check the sensing bulb end to ensure that it is not out of place and touching a heat riser. If this is not the case most likley you will need to replace the operating thermostat.

Thanks
