When i turn the computer on it keeps shutting down over and over again

Sometimes viruses can cause reboots. Also, Emachines are plaqued by bad power supplies...could be that.

Emachines w2828 keeps shutting down reboot/Screen Freeze

I dont thing this is a virus problem but a heat problem. if you dont mind getting inside the box see how clean it is and put your hand on the power box case .. then unplug all the hardware except the mother board then turn the unit on, if it goes on then plug 1 hardware at a time.

Replaced Mainboard on Emachine w3653, keeps restarting

If it reboots before you make the Windows load screen, chances are it's the power supply. You can go into the BIOS, look at the power setup and with most BIOS's you can watch the DC supplies. If they vary like mad while you're doing this (with the PC effectively in idle), either something is loading down the power supply or it's defective.

If it gets to the Windows startup screen and starts to load, then reboots, it's probably a defective RAM chip.

I have a e-machines w2828. It will not boot or even show a start screen.

Unplug the power cord and hold in the power button for up to one minute to discharge the computer. Make sure the power cord is securely inserted into the pc, plug it back into the wall and try re-booting.
If this doesn't work you may need a new power supply.

There something problem in your PSU, you need to check the power supply of your system, if hard for you then you can let repairman do it, or replace that with a new one.
