I have bought samsung gt-c6712 now while connecting wi fi it is showing dns failed please give me solution

Click on the arrow on the corner of wifi network you are trying to connect and there will be option to forget network click it and re-enter your wifi password that will probably work

ou can try these options. Please follow step by step instructions on your phone.
A. Reset Wi-Fi:

1. Delete all the configured wireless connections.Settings-> Connectivity -> Wi-Fi -> Select Network
2. Click on Forget
3. Do this for all your connections
4. Now Enable Wi-Fi again. And connect to router.

B. Using Static IP Address:

1. Settings-> Connectivity -> Wi-Fi -> Select Network
2. Make sure to disconnect the network if connected.
3. Now open the network,
4. Select Static IP
5. Now you can assign IP Address
6. Here are default ips (It may vary according to your router)
   IP : 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.1.2
   Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
   Default Gateway : 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
   DNS: any two of these =>
   • 4.2.2.5
   • 4.2.2.1
   • 208.67.222.222
   • 208.67.220.220
   • 8.8.8.8
   • 8.8.4.4

go to wifi setting then advanced wifi setting then change the setting from manual to DHCP mode

restart ur phone and modem and connect it will work or there might be problem with your wifi network provider....

Check whether your security settings are match with your wi-fi router.

under wifi settings change the automatic ip to manaul ip address set the dns to default obtaining it from your pc or from your router in PC go to start->cmd->ipconfig u can see the dns change it in the mobile accordingly

Seems it's a bug from Wave but alternatively you can try to change your DNS.

1.  Temporarily urn off Wi-Fi on your phone
2.  Go to Settings --> Connectivity --> Wi-Fi and tap on your WLAN's name.
3.  Tap IP Address Type box

4.  Set DNS  8.8.8.8 (google's public DNS)

Hi.. All you have to do is go to browser, then setting, then clear cache, empty cookies and delete history.. then restart your samsung star, then connect to desire wifi connection. then browse after setting up your browser profile. this work on me all the time.
