Sanyo fan, at least 20 years old, once silent, now sounds like a moving part is hitting a stationary part. Still runs, though. No fix-it people left in Oakland, California. Can I fix it myself?

How do I clean the fan?

Just open the case, sounds very scientific, but as long as you organize which screw where to put back it's not a hard IT job to do.
Probably the fan got stuck, or something (often even hardened dust) can make this noise. At first - before unscrewing and disassembling the laptop I'd buy a $5.00 compressed air spray and spray into the gaps, where the fan blows out the hot air. This should help. If not, well.. disassembling and finding the small "something" that's in the way of the fan. Below a picture how to clean the fan without opening anything. I'd try this at first. Hope I could help! Maybe your laptop looks different, but it has such gaps for sure, where the hot air is leaving your laptop. You don't have to loose anything, max that 5 bucks... 25084652-ryxirccbi43qbqsuxb0nf4w3-3-0.jpg

Gets hot shuts down

computer probably reaches its safeguard temperature. and shuts the system down to protect it from damage. usually it is caused by a partially/fully clogged heatsink on either the processor or the graphics card (or both). and insufficciant air circulation trough the case. if so you have to clean the fans and heatsinks (a box of compressed air will suffice if its a laptop, put something in the fan to prevent it from spinning while using compressed air), dont forget to do the chassis fan too (if its a stationary one)

it may also be that the heat sink is not making proper contact on the prosessor/ graphics card. you may need to reseat it with new thermal compound

Laptop making noise

You need to get pressurized air and blow the vents to remove dust particles causing over heat. Or if possible remove keyboard to expose cooling fan and chip and use pressurized air to blow off dust

I have problem with my HP 6730s. It is very hot when i`m playing on it. And i have a gane witch is frameing. It is because the laptop is so hot?

Yes it is. The heat build up affects lots of parts in there, the video, hard drive, and of course the processor.

Laptops typically run much hotter than desktops for obvious reasons; there is not much room in there for equipment and fans. You may want to check into a docking tray for your laptop to sit on. Many have up to six fans situated to draw as much heat as possible out of the laptop interior. They aren't very expensive, and do make a difference. Don't play with your laptop in your lap - always play with it on a flat surface so that air can circulate under it.

Foxconn CPU fan making noise

It sounds like the fan bearing is shot, I'd recomend not using the computer until fan is replaced.
yes it is possible to replace the fan, i would recomend that you replace it with an aftermarket cooler. all you need is what kind of CPU you have, then find out what kind of socket it is, from there you can find the cooler you would like.

Check the screws of the fan if it is seated properly. Then check your system unit if it is leveled on the ground. Or it could be dust or rust. You can try oiling up the fan.Open up the sticker of the fan and put little oil in it and put back the sticker. You may need to put extra tape as the oil may hinder the sticker from sticking back to the fan.

HEATER FORD KA

your heater hose may have a leak or a blockage, preventing the hot water circulating. Pull off the heater hose and flush it out. Heater hose generally goes from your radiator T junction to the firewall of the vehicle.
Hope this helps
