I have a phillips magnavox
Problem with the Philips Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo
I have a phillips magnavox vcr dvd recorder combo model number mwr20v6 that i have had fo about 2 years and here lately every time i try to record on to a dvd it pops up with error code e454037380.i have cleaned the lens with a disc cleaner and still didnt help, same thing is happening. i am also using the same type of disc that I have been since day 1. Can you help??
You can find a copy of the manual on the web link provided here:http://tv.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/magnavox/mwr20v6_1.html Print a pdf copy for yourself. If you need more help the customer care for you dvd/vcr player is at this telephone number. 1-800-605-8453 give them the model number of your dvd/vcr unit and they will be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
most vcr decks are clones of other decks .find out what deck is fitted in that model ...might find that a easier way to trace a service manual. check R.S components parts ..i'm sure they have a section on vcr decks and a large parts and service sections with pictures to help you identify your deck. ps if you have never done this sort of thing before i would think hard on whats involved it can be very time consuming and awkward to do....deck timing can be a real pain to get right. i would start with the easy things to change first like the pinch roller.anyway hope this helps a bit ..farr64
yes
make sure the cables are connected correctly, the manual will show that.
If the mwr20v6 has a tuner you must have the channel on the dvd set to the program, if it has no tuner, you must have your tv set to the correct channel.
