DLP tv will turn on (picture looks fine) then after a minute TV will turn off. Sounds like its trying to come back on for a couple of seconds, then I start to hear a buzzing sound for a minute then it stops, Oh and all three lights start blinking.

It sounds like the color wheel of your unit gone to malfunction and trigger that kind of symptoms. It needs to check by a qualified TV Technician because this kind of symptoms is not a DIY unless you have an experienced in electronics. If the buzzing sound came in front of the lamp assembly, then high chance that the color wheel is already faulty. Lamp, ballast board, fans are also a suspect here.
make sure put the lamp door back before trying to turn it on because they have switches on them that allow the tv to turn on. If that is ok you probably have a bad ballast. Call a local tv repair shop to further diagnose the problem.
Lamp maybe going out if you have not replaced it then it Lamp but Pull back off and make sure Fans are running if Fan to Lamp is defective then TV will shut Off. Look up Encompass Parts Distr or Call 1-800-638-3328
One must be very careful of the quality of the replacement lamp. Many of the cheap 'deals' on the web for replacement lamps are substandard. I always recommend that replacement bulbs be the original manufacturers bulb.
It sounds like your rptv lamp is going out. If this is an older DLP this is most likely the cause. You can get a replacement at www.laptopsforless.com part number BP96-00224J for $151. If the tv is still under warranty, I would have them do it, otherwise replace it yourself. If so here is a link to give you step by step instruction. Please give me a good rating. ;-)
