this may be be due to your chat software or your internet connectivity. make sure your internet connection is stable. if it is, then uninstall your chat software what ever it is and then install it again.

INSTRUCTIONAL STEP TO FOLLOW
From the main page of Yahoo.com, click on the "More Yahoo! Services" option at the left side of the screen. In the pop-up screen, click on the"Chat" option. The following page will direct you to a place where you can download Yahoo! Messenger. Make sure you download the correct version that is compatible with your operating system, and that youclosely follow the appropriate steps for installing the chatting tool. Wait to be asked to enter your Yahoo! ID and password in order to sign on.You may already have a Yahoo! ID if you have previously signed up for a Yahoo! service. The majority of users typically have a Yahoo! ID from using Yahoo! Mail. You can sign on with the same user ID and password you use for your Yahoo! Mail if you would like. But keep in mind that members of a chat room might have easier access to finding out who you are. The safest and best option is to create an alternative ID name and password. How do I replace the monitor on a Gateway profile 5?


Hi hhenra, I don't have a great answer you sorry to say. I looked at the specs at Gateway, and there are detailed instruction on changing almost everything on the Profile 5, except the monitor. I tried chatting with customer support but without the SNID (serial number) they could not help. I tried to find a replacement part and the monitor is the only component not listed. I could find no online instruction at all, I did find many people with the same issue but no solutions. The best I can do at this point is point you to the customer support chat, I could not even find a non pay tech support phone number. If it is the Chat Room only where you get disconnected, It is probably just the chat server. You could attempt to install/reinstall whatever chat client or whatever dependencies it needs (Flash, Java, Etc.)

Toshiba satelite vista did an update, and computer crashed, and I cannot boot up now. it hangs on "please wate" microsoft vista.

Since the problem here is compatiability issue. Suggestion: why dont you try other video chat programs. Skype is also good for video chatting and free to use. If all doesnt work you should consider asking for a replacement.

You're confused and I'm confused. It's terminology and some missing information. First are you using an ICQ type chat application or are you using a full blown call center chat application.....if the former your problem is relatively simple. If the latter (based on how good the help dialogue is) it run from easy to hard. Need the name of the application to be able to give you a path to follow to fix it. Tango
