Question about Dryers
Very loud noise when dryer runs
I agree with the reply where it could be a bearing or the belt tensioner pulley. Although typically the rear bearing will make a squealing or squeaking sound. There isn't too much that can cause noise in the drum itself. I have seen dryers where the belt was frayed or about to go make the noise you describe. I don't think it is the rear bearing, but the front glides, or bearings could be going out causing the dryer to run unbalanced.

SOURCE: loud noise while running
you are gonna have to get inside the unit to determine whats defective...
if you want a parts breakdown i would recomend going to sears. com clicking on the section parts and service usually upper right corner, then click parts, u should be in their parts direct section enter you model number which u can find when u open ur dryer door their should be a sticker or tag somewhere that will list it.. find ur model or sometin similiar uually last digits designate color so it doesnt matter. you can see how the unit comes apart or get prices or part numbers on specific parts.
I would personally check the operation for defectiveness on your belt, rollers, idler pully, and possibly a seal if yor dryer has sometype of glides or seal.. hope this helps
