Hi there, if you know what model it is you can do a google search for the owners manual. There should be a sequence of buttons you can push or hold to reset to factory/default settings.

How to set menu w/o a remote

If your TV has no Menu button on its front panel controls, you can't do this. You must have its remote control to select this settings.

My child lost the remote control and I don't know

HI
What a shame, look for a button/knob/touchpad on the front of the television set.
There should be buttons for all the major functions of the TV.
Down to the right.
I hope you will find your remote control.
All the best

My unit requires remote control to operate remote control is lost what 2 do

Whether you have a thru the window model or a potable AC, the same controls that are on the remote are on the face of the unit. To operate it without the remote, turn the unit OFF and unplug it. Wait 5 minutes, then plug it back in. Wait 3 minutes & turn the unit ON using the controls on the front of the unit.. The controls will have reverted back to the original factory settings and you can now use the front control panel to operate & set the controls as you like.

If you want to purchase a new hand held remote, contact Haier Product Support 1-877-337-3639.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Locked tv set model f19421

These are the instructions on locking and unlocking the control panel for your TV: Front Panel Lock This feature allows you to lock the buttons on the front of the TV. Even when the front panel lock feature is on, the TV operates with the remote control. To lock the buttons on the front of the TV: 1. Make sure the TV is on. 2. Press and hold the POWER button on the remote for approximately 5 seconds. To turn off the front panel lock: 1. Make sure the TV is off. 2. Press and hold the POWER button on the remote for approximately 5 seconds

The remote dosen't work

Have you tried replacing the batteries? That is usually the most frequent cause if it not operating at all. If that doesn't work get a universal remote and program it for your Model Vizio set. If that restores some operation the defect is in the remote and not your set. Another thing, you can try to operate if using the front panel controls. If they do work then the trouble is in the remote. I suggest replacing the remote in that case. If the front panel controls don't work either then first checked to make sure it's plugged into the wall (you would be surprised how often that is the trouble).
If it's plugged in and neither the front panel controls or the remote works then it's the set itself. That would require the services of a technician that is familiar with TV to help you out.

I am not sure of the model number. but the remote stopped working altogether. I have changed batteries and used the remote to operate other components. the volume buttones on the set do work either. i can...

Your Problem is most likely the tactile switches on the front panel of the set. You can verify this by taking the Speaker Grill off and look to see if there is a wire harness coming out from the front board going up to the control panel. Most of the time there is a plug connector you can pull apart. Once you do this , you should be able to operate the set with the remote control. If the Plug Connector is not visible on the outside of the Front Board, you will need to take the six screw out and access it. it should be on the right side. If you follow the wire harness to the control panel, you have the right one. If that does allow operation with the remote, you have decision to make. To use it with the remote control only or to repair the control panel board. It would require replacing all the tactile switches to be sure to get the bad one and prevent one of the others from failing in the same way. They run around $10.00 apiece and there are about 9 of them.
The Part Number for the Switch is 432P089010.

Fpa lock on how do i get this offf

hello Lock/Unlock Parental Controls
Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls settings
using a password.
If you do not lock parental controls, none of the settings for V-Chip,
Channel Block, or Front Panel Block will take effect.
If you forget your password, press the MENU button, then select Parental
Control
(the password entry screen appears). Simultaneously press and
hold CH+ and VOL+ on the front panel for 8 seconds. Parental Controls
unlock and the Parental Control menu appears. You can enter a new
password by locking the Parental Controls again.
Front Panel Block
Selecting this option lets you block (disable) or unblock (enable) the TV’s
front panel. The remote still tunes to any channel. When using this as a
Parental Control method, remove access to any remote that is capable of
operating the television while you have the front panel blocked.
Don’t forget to lock parental controls after you change the status. If you
don’t, the front panel block will not take effect .if this don't work get back to me i've got manual good luck

On these models we have found that a switch is sticking on the control panel not allowing the set to operate properly.
Disconnect the control panel.
You will be able to use the remote on it.
To find the plugs for the control panel:
Remove the speaker grill and front panel, then follow the wire to the connection.

Remember to unplug the set before putting your hands inside of it.
