Trying to install and rewire the kenwood KDC-MP149 cd player into my 1997 lancer. having problems matching up the wire colours thanks

I recommend you purchase a wiring harness. This will make the install much easier. You can match up the wires of the radio and the harness with ease (since all aftermarket radios have standardized color coding for the wires). You vehicle wires will never match the radio, unless it's stock. You can purchase one at www.crutchfield.com Hope this helps.

Ive bought a standard cd player to replace my cassette player. the cd player is connected but asks for an unlock code

Did you buy a stock cd player from another vehicle? If so, you may be screwed. You usually have to have the vin number of the original vehicle to obtain the code from the dealer. This insures that the radio isn't stolen. If you purchased an aftermarket radio, there shouldn't be a code. If you did buy an aftermarket cd player and it requires a code, what brand? Let me know and I will see if I can help.

I have a 95 thunderbird lx need to know what wires are what for stereo.

Im not sure on the 95. But the 96/97 they had factory amplifiers in the trunk. You could install a new radio but you need to bypass those factory amps. Metra or another kit manufacture will sell you the harnesses you need. One for between the factory plug and the radio. Metra will have the wires labeled as to what they are to connect to. The other end of the wires should be your aftermarket. Which will be in the users manual or install guide that came in the box. If your trying to bypass the factory amps in the trunk and you get stuck. Head on over to the guys at TCCOA.com visit the forums and you will get more specific help from people who still own those cars.

I have a 95 nissan maxima i am trying to replace stock radio(bose) w/a new cd player but once its hooked up im not hearing any sound? whats wrong with it?

Most Bose car stereos have an external amplifier. You will need to see if that is the case on your factory setup and remove the amplifier. Then hook the new headunit straight to the speakers.

Im trying to install a new radio into 1997 Ford Expedition w/premium sound. However I cannot get any sound. I have the wriring harness.

Hello... I am sorry to hear you are having a problem I am assuming that you are using a wire harness adapter to interface between your factory harness and the aftermarket radios harness. If the aftermarket stereo has a blue/white wire, you need to connect it to the blue and the blue/white wires in the adapter harness. This will turn on the amplifiers. If your aftermarket stereo only has a blue wire, then use it as the connection with the blue and blue/white on your aftermarket harness adapter. Hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, let me know!

Hi. i have toyota matrix 2005 model and i installed xo vision XO1945 dvd player in my car. Now I having problem with player, when i paly radio, CD, DVD or any thing it change tracks by it self and it also...

if im correct, you had/have steering wheel controls....correct. if im correct then you might have tapped into these wires. some of them will give a 12v reference, in actuality they are to give the factory radio an ohm reading telling it what to adjust. my best advice is to retrace all your install wires to confirm that they are all correct wires needed to connect to. then if not it will deffinately have to take a visit to the manufacturer, hope this helps!
