Question about ValuSoft Print Workshop 2003 for PC

1 Answer

I purchased OfficeSuite2007 by Valusoft several months ago and I am just now attempting to install it. It appears that the CD has nothing on it. I can't get my money back from Walmart because it has been over 90 days. What can I do?

I would make sure that the CD ROM is definitely reading the CD, by going through and right clicking the drive with the CD and then clicking open. If it is truly a blank CD then I would suggest that you try and plead the case and/or see if someone at Walmart would be willing to try and open the software on a computer. If Walmart would not help you than try contacting Valuesoft, and possibly send them the CD.

Okay, i know that this is a common problem for several years...when i try to burn a disc in itunes, it "checks playlist", and prepares to burn, but then cancels burn and gives me this error...

> this drive worked for about four months
> I cannot burn a disc ... even with other programs.

It must have "failed".

The "good" news is that it probably can be replaced, under WARRANTY.
Take it back to where you purchased it, and they will replace it, under WARRANTY.

> could not recognize the drive

The drive has several major components:
* the electronics that tell the computer that it exists, and is CD-ROM or CD-RW or DVD-writer,
* the laser that heats the surface of the media, to "burn" onto the media

In the first case, the electronics failed. In your current case, the laser has failed.

What is a DVD drive?

It's the "next-generation" follow-on to a CD-drive.
CD drives store up to 700MB per disk.
DVD drives store up to 4500MB per disk, i.e., over 6 times as much.

I need help to install this program

Hello Cryspycritte, Thank you for the clarification. Your program is definitely compatible with Windows XP. What you will need to do is put Disc 1 of Print Workshop into your CD drive. Click on your start button in the lower left hand corner of your desktop, then click run (located right above the "turn off computer" button.) A run box will appear in the bottom left hand corner. In the box type: D:\setup.exe (where D is the letter of your cdrom.) A setup window will appear with the final steps for installation. If you have any installation issues please post a reply. Thanks for using FixYa! Edward

Valusoft Print Workshop 2008.

Kim....for the people that try to help on this site as well as tech forums or contacting the supplier you will need to be a bit more specific.....what is it that you see...there should be some sort of message. Forgetting that for the moment though you could have one of the following problems...a corrupt cd (meaning bad), incompatible with your operating system (if running an older O/S this is very possible since you are running a newer Value Print Workship), or a missing driver. Your best bet is to go to their website...valuesoft...and check FAQ's. There might be an answer there and if not try to use the support function.

Hope this helps....Tango
