Panasonic hom theatre with error code f61

Hello,
Problem with Panasonic home theatre model SA-HT540 with error code F61. I did checked the online response and cleaned the fan. but still its the same problem. however if i keep hitting or shaking the fan rotates other wise it doesnot rotate. Does it mean the fan has to be replaced or does it has any other solution?

Please help. Appreciate your help.
Regards

Hello Fernado
I thinks that you are looking for a four digit universal remote setup codes with your Home Theater In a Box [HTIB]. If so try with this code.

This is the only one four digit setup code for Panasonic.
OK.

When i turn on my receiver f61 code comes on then it shuts off how do i fix it. Panasonic SC-ht650

Many things can cause the error code f61 on a Panasonic.

Most of them need a service tech to repair. Output IC or voltage regulator....

The one thing you may be able to check is the cooling fan, it should turn on hen the power button is pushed. Make sure it spins freely.

Most often it is the output IC

Panasonic home teather FG1 code apears when it turns on

It's "F61". tha tusually means it senses a short on its output.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts and overloads by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced hands-on tech.

My SAHT940 continually gives me an F61 error. I have disconnected and reconnected the speakers to no avail. Any ideas?

The F61 is a "protect mode" error indication. This means that a problem has been detected in the final stage of the amplifier. In your unit, this is an AMP-PAC (IC). Either that IC is defective or a regulator IC has failed. The output IC runs around $95 or more for the part. I would suggest that you get a detailed repair estimate from a servicer and proceed from there.
