Toast, absolutely toast, unless you have an EE degree, friends at Apple, and very, very small tools!

Best thing to do is buy another one and take your old one appart, probably you probably have some parts that still work.

If it actually went through a wash cycle I don't think that theres much hope of it working again.

IPod shuffle got wet in the washing machine

If you've been trying to turn it on, then it's unlikely to work again. If anything like that happens again, "DON'T TURN IT ON". Take the item apart carefully keeping the screws together and leave the parts spread out in a warm dry place like an airing cupboard for about a week. Then put it back together and cross your fingers.

Wash and dry ipod 3rd gen

Other people have dried out their mp3 players and got it to work sporadically, but the water damage is irreversible. Call Apple and tell them that it just won't work - don't give them the details of how it got there.

hi there

im so sorry for that friend. what you can do is bring that to a service center and hope that the technician can dry and replace the batteries for that and hope that it will still work.

Doesn't work at all

there isn't much you can do at that point unless you can narrow down what part is failing. most likely, the mother board is shorted somewhere. there are companies that do repair them but you might be better off getting a new one.

I think you fried it. put it under a lamp for a while (not too close to the lamp) to try and dry it out. if that doesnt work, something shorted out inside, and you can repair it or get a nice shiny new one
