Bosch Dishwasher Model SHU 5317 UC

I replaced the control module but it still is not working correctly. No water delivery and the machine runs on after cycle end. If I manually add water to the bin, it pumps it right out upon cycle start-up.

The problem is a solenoid on the bottom of the unit. It is a small black cylinder next to the pump. It operates the valve that changes to the drain cycle. You can probably order one from Bosch

I have a SHU5305us/u12 and my front door lettering got erase. anyone have a picture or a manual that tells me what each button means.

Cycle Interruption

As a safety feature the dishwasher will automatically turn itself off whenever the door is opened. However, if the door is opened quickly while in a wash or rinse cycle some water may splash out of the dishwasher. For this reason it is recommended that the machine always be switched off before opening the door.

To Interrupt a Cycle

1. Press the on/off button to stop operation.

2. Wait at least 10 seconds (or until the water noises stop) before opening the door.

To Resume a Cycle

1. SHU/SHI models, close the door and press the on/off button.

2. SHV models, push the on/off button and close the door.

Changing a Cycle

For Bosch dishwasher models SHI 6800 and 4320, SHU 5300, 5310 and 6800 press the program button of the desired cycle TWICE. For all other Bosch dishwasher models, press the program button of the desired cycle ONCE. The chosen cycle button (or the light above it) becomes illuminated, showing that it has been selected.

* SHU 3030 and SHU 3130 models do not have program lights.

Cancelling a Cycle

Each control panel shows which buttons to simultaneously push to cancel a cycle. Refer to your dishwasher to find the cancel drain buttons on your particular model.

1. Press the indicated buttons at the same time and hold for approximately 3 seconds.

2. When the drain pump noises stop and the LED display or clean light indicate that the end of the cycle has been reached, the dish

washer is reset.

3. Press the on/off button to turn the dishwasher off.

4. The dishwasher is now ready to run a selected cycle. Add more detergent if necessary.

Bosch dishwasher time delay problems

Bosch Dishwasher Repair
When the display is stuck on 2H it often means the heater is not working. If the water is not heated, the cycle will never complete. It is possible the heating element is bad, but a more likely problem is with the control module PC board. The solution requires some basic repair and soldering skills plus the tools to do the job. Bosch recommends re-soldering the connection to the heating element relay (see page 11 of "SHU/SHI/SHV Dishwasher Troubleshooting Tips") free download here
The problem is that the circuit board copper is not heavy enough to handle the heating element current, causing the copper to heat and melt the solder connection. A better solution is to solder a short length of copper wire between the two pins to provide more copper and reduce the chance of heating as shown in the attached photo.

Hot water fills with hot and cold not strictly hot what is the fix

see the causes: and proceed with common sense. God bless you
Some washing machines allow hot water to enter only during certain cycles. Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure about whether the machine is acting abnormally. If you're sure the machine isn't working the way it used to--or should--try these tests: Is the hot water turned on? If not, turn it on. Is the washer getting cold water but no hot water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct. Is there hot water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, completely replace it.

I have a model WL80T65CW1 aquasmart washing machine. It stopped working and showing fault 49 on screen. I do not have a manual. Would you please tell me what fault 49 is?

In AquaSmart machines the pump over-currents and blows the water valves fuse, Motor controller board and pump needs replacing.
49. (00110001) Cold Valve or Cold Valve & Hot Valve Faulty
The Motor Control Module has measured a voltage from the valve diagnostic circuit that
indicates the cold valve or both the cold and hot valve is faulty. The most likely cause is
that the valve harness has not been connected correctly or the valve(s) is open circuit.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: Check the valve harnesses are correctly fastened to the valves and
the motor control module or the pins are not bent backwards.
Secondary Source: Water Valves.
Action: Measure the resistance of the cold and hot valve coils.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control module.
Action: Replace the Motor Control module.

My washer has just started to leave about an inch of water in the bottom of the tub after the cycle is complete, leaving my clothes soaking wet. How do I get the water out?

Hi.

The problem is either caused by a drain system fault or by a defective pressure switch.

Check that height and setting of drain hose at the back are correct. If the hose is not set correctly (check manual), then water will flow back inside the appliance. The problem is called siphoning.

Make sure there is no drain system blockage. Inefficient drain because of blockage results in soaked water. Check hose connected to pump located at the base of the washer.

Check and eventually replace the pressure switch. The pressure switch detects water level and determines when to stop the spin part of the cycle. The pressure switch is located in control assembly, near to control module. Clean the long rubber hose connected to the switch.

Inside the control assembly look also for an envelope containing the tech sheet. The document will contain the instructions to run diagnostic cycle in this model. Run a diagnostic cycle.

Regards.

Water will not spin out. Code says 5d

The troubleshooting page in the owner's manual says: 5d "Sd" Suds Detected - Did you use regular detergent? Regular or hand-washing detergents are not recommended for this washer. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Did you add too much detergent? Always measure detergent. Follow detergent manufacturer's directions. If excessive suds are detected, the washer will display this code while running a suds reduction correction routine at the end of the wash cycle. The susds reduction routine removes extra suds and asures proper rinsing of your garments. If te code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has stopped, re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press start. Do not add detergent.

A solution to this problem would be to sell me your dishwasher. The law firm for which I work is looking to acquire an old unrepaired Bosch SHU 33 dishwasher for some ongoing litigation.
