You can contact Whirlpool customer service here and they should be able to suggest a model which will be a "drop-in" replacement.

Are you not interested in getting yours fixed?

If it's within the magnetron portion of the warranty (usually 5-9 years) but out of the original full warranty (usually 1 year), then your manufacturer will cover the part cost, but not the cost to visit you or the labor charge to do the work.

Your manual will tell you about the warranty.

You can download your owner's manual, installation instructions, etc. here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

May Spacemaker XL1800 stop heating food. Was working fine. Then just stop

Is this an over the stove type unit? I have had a few problems with my over the range spacesaver. I think the heat from cooking gets up into the microwave and damages it. The steam from me boiling things on the stove had mine quit heating and I purchased a new one. The parts to replace the faulty ones can be quite expensive over $150.00, so its better to purchase a new microwave.

Not heating food. Everything looks and sounds right but not heating food.

its likely to be the "magnatron" (selling not good) its the part that heats up the food,,,this is a pricy part to buy and fit,,,

Sounds like the magnatron tube or it's fuse.
