Question about Rotary Tools
I cant remove the attachment. I'm not talking about the little screw at the end , i need to remove the whole shaft to insert an attachment I bought that is connected to one. I can press down that little button, but the shaft wont slide out and I cant budge the nut.
They can be stubborn. I would take padded pliers to the nut, and not focus on removing the shaft until the nut is loosened. Be careful not to damage the nut. You may also try spraying a light lubricate at the base of the nut and hold the dremel upside down so that some could possible get behind the nut.

I have a Dremel 395. This typically happens when using the cutoff wheels.
First: loosen the Collette nut with the wrench.
Second: Lightly tap the mandrel mounting screw that holds the cutoff wheel to the mandrel.
Three: when the mandrel loosens up, you can remove it.
Note, if you tap on the Mandrel to hard, the cutoff wheel will break.
