Had exactly the same problem with my W995. I'm with T mobile. Took it into a T mobile shop and they put it on a PC and updated the software. No more problems. I thought I needed a new battery as I had the same message - "must insert a sony battery." Chap in the shop said its a common software fault on this phone.
Hi mate i had same problem this morning, i was gutted cos i got mine off ebay, so have no guarantee, however i went to se site and updated the softwear, even that there was no update, it re-installed the softwear and wala its working fine, am i ha happy bunny. Hope it works for you? Meurig
Shut the !%$#^#@! up about manuals from china. If you can't post an answer then shut the hell up. Stupid idiots make a phone to be sold world wide and all the Java apps are stuck in Chinese. WTF?
