Question about Calculators

What do the buttons do?

I have just come by this calculator, but I have no idea what the green buttons on the left do, the diamond and star, also the NP, P A O 2 & F buttons. Is there somewhere to download a manual, or does anyone know what the buttons do?
Thanks

    Hi,

The make is a Ibico 1008.
I have since found out the NP, and P buttons are to do with printing, but on the right are 4 keys with a sliding button in order,
    A, O, 2, F
They seem to have something to do with a decimal point, but I can not get the = sign to work when using certain settings. There is also a * button, and a diamond which I am unsure about.

    Thanks

There is no such thing as a TI89 Plus Silver Edition.

If you mean the TI-89 or TI-89 Titanium, press diamond / (the diamond key below the 2ND key, then the divide key).

If you mean the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition or the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, press MATH left-arrow 4 .

Hey, im having problems with my TI-89 Titanium, i need it to calculate ((30.000/15.000)^(1/20)-1. Then i get the reuslt 2^(1/20)-1 but i need it to be 0,03. How can i set it to do that?

To display the last result as floating point, press [ ♦] [ENTER]. I hope this one is displayed correctly in the FixYa solution, the first key is the diamond --- green button, below [2nd] and left of [ALPHA].

To make this the default setting, press [MODE] and select APPROXIMATE from the menu.

When powered on, the LCD screen is dark blue.

Press and hold the Control key marked with a green diamond, then press the minus key (above the + ) to lighten the screen. If you lighten the screen contrast too much you can darken it as follows:
To darken the screen press and hold the diamond key and press the + key.

What keys due i use to calculate a fraction, where is the fraction key

To do fractions, just use the normal divide button.
To see the exact answer, hit MODE and scroll down to Exact/Approx and change to EXACT. In this mode, it will give the fraction always unless you press the special (green button with diamond) before pressing ENTER and it will give the approximate decimal value.
