Question about Dell Dimension 3100 PC Desktop
My dell dimension 3100 n series wont power up at all .... nothing no beeps, just flashing amber ights sometimes... not even always.... have tried anoher powersuply same thing... have dsconnected everything from board except power supply and stilll nothing...
An Amber blinking power button indicates a low voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. It sounds like you have isolated the problem to the motherboard since you removed everything but the board and power supply. You may be able to locate one by browsing the internet. Just type in “DELL Dimension 3100 motherboard” and see if you can locate one at a reasonable price.
