My keyboard in my revo rl100 doesn't work

Sounds like the battery in the keyboard is dead. Also make sure you have the wireless doggle that came with the keyboard and mouse plugged into the usb port. You might try plugging it into another port.

I'm thinking your keyboard is dead because of the battery or a virus has hijacked your keyboard.

Try booting up in Safe Mode to make sure it's not virus related. Turn the computer off, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Select the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different because the icons are bigger and the screen is darker, this is normal. If your keyboard works in safe mode then you might have a virus that can't function in safe mode.

I have downloaded cd but I cant get the mouse or key board to work

Assuming you are talking about a wireless keyboard and mouse. you should have a sender unit which plugs into the computer to communicate between the keyboard/mouse and computer. When you are setting you normally have to push a button on both the keyboard and mouse to make the connection. On most units you get a flashing green light whilst its making the connection.

When I restart the computer, the keyboard and mouse do not work. The mouse won't move the cursor and hit cntl alt del on keybourd and nothing happens. I have tries three mouses (one wireless) and two...

Use wired mouse and keyboard (not wireless) and change the USB port you are using to another one.

Connect them directly to the computer, do not use USB hubs.

If no joy reboot in safe mode: turn on your computer and immediately press F8 repeatedly until you get the Advanced Boot screen. Select "SAFE MODE" and press ENTER. After that, restart in normal mode.

Thank you

PLEASE HELP.. KEYBOARD AND MOUSE ARE COMPLETELY DEAD

If you can bott the computer normally and don't have to type a password in, then go the control panel and then choose device manager. Scroll down to the mouse and keyboard plus signs and right click on the mouse and keyboard one at a time and select uninstall. When the original mouse and keyboard have been uninstalled, reboot the computer. When Windows starts back up it will be forced to search for the new hardware and will install the drivers for it. If it wants to search for new ones allow it. If you have to type a password, you will have to go and get a usb keyboard that works off one of the usb ports. If this doesn't work, reboot the computer with the Vista disc in. Click any button to boot from the cd. When the windows files load and windows starts, choose repair, choose the windows installation and let windows search for problems and see if it can fix them. If all fails, go to system restore and back the computer up a few days and let system restore fix the problem by taking you back in time a few.

Moved my GATEWAY KR-0401 wireless keyboard & now won't work!

  1. Check and see if batteries are in keyboard and that they are still good and working.
  2. If the batteries are good and ready to go then make sure that the adapter for the wireless keyboard is plugged into the correct USB port in the back of your computer and that it's working.
  3. If none of the above works then what you'll need to do is go buy a wired keyboard and attach that to your computer and log into your account and find out what's going on with the wireless keyboard. Once you have figured out what is going on with your wireless keyboard then you can take the wired one back to the store and continue using the wireless keyboard. If I were you though I would keep the wired one around just in case.

Laptop problem

footballkenn,

normally toshiba tecra has 2 type of switches for the wireless radio.

One will be the normal switch, which I think you can see it mounted on, either on the side or the front of the laptop,
another switch will be the function key on the keyboard, which require you to press the "fn" key. Check your keyboard for a wifi symbol which normally a tower with a radio wave.

Hope this help, come back if you still have the same problem, or other problem.

Your rate for my solution is much appreciated. thanks.

When you say you pressed the connect buttons on both the keyboard and mouse, do you mean you pressed the connect button on the receiver, and then you pressed the connect buttons on the mouse and keyboard? If not, then that's what you have to do. The 30 seconds of blinking on the receiver is normal, as it gives you time to find and press the buttons on the mouse and keyboard.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

F keys don't work on a micrpsoft keyboard 1000 wireless

Many of the wireless keyboards and Natural Keyboards from Microsoft have the F-Lock key.

Here is a description of what the F-Lock does from a 3rd party website (http://www.mvps.org/jtsang/flock.html)

F Lock Key

The F Lock key on the Microsoft Keyboards is a relatively new concept facility for Microsoft Keyboards. Introduced with the Office Keyboard and used in later keyboards, it essentially allows keys to do more than one operation. The F Lock key, depending on its state, will allow either a function key's "normal" operation or a new "enhanced" operation. The initial state of the F Lock key is "off", and in this state, the function keys use their "enhanced" operation.

The F Lock key is a hardware switch in the keyboard. Its state cannot be controlled programatically. Its default condition is "off". As a result, whenever the keyboard is reset, or loses power, the F Lock key will always be in an "off" state.

For some, this is not a desirable default; some people want "normal" function key operation.
