I moved my Mitsubishi 1080 HD projector style TV and now I cannot get it to power up again, help help. I verified the input voltage 120v 60Hz, check multiple power outlets, verified AC fuse was good and verified all connections were secure. TV power LED will power on initially but will power off 1-2 seconds after initial power is applied.

Some of the older Mitsubishi with HD 1080 have only one component input for HD---it is marked on rear as DTV----also a model number may allow me to give another suggestion--Some of these sets (ws, wt, vs models) will on occasion lock out or disable the input/s.
Depending on model number most also have 3 hidden menus---one is the option menu----it allows with the Mitsubishi remote via a 4 digit number (by model number) to enter there and do a hard reset of the set----sets every setting back to factory original---seen it "cure" all kinds of odd problems from missing rear inputs, no sound, odd video issues---you name it.
Get me the model number and I will see if can find the code for yours--you can also try hooking first direct a 1080 blue ray or Dvd if you want to see if the input is active or not first.
First, you need to verify that you have an HD source (720p, 1080i) connected to your M1-DA port or RGB component video ports.
S-Video and Composite video inputs are not capable of providing a 1080 signal. Then, in the menu, go to settings and then select "Sources". Verify that the source you want to use is checked and enabled. Once you exit the menu, perss source on the keypad until your selection shows up. If you have a good signal, it will sync up and display your program. To verify what signal you are watching, go back into the main menu and select "About" It will show which source you are using and what the format is.
I would look at the source for the Hd signal as being the problem--if you are using some kind of cable or sat box it will deliver the signal to the DTV input on the back of the set--this is the HD input for this set.
It is possible to have a problem like you describe be one in the set--but very unlikely----have you looked on that green signal board for any signs of Glycol?
Anything that will produce a 1080 signal to the DTV input should tell you if the problem is the set or the source of the HD signal that is causing the problem.

if this information has helped you rate this solution as i do this here for free.
In the input assignment menu make sure that the DTV (the only 1080 input on this tv) is set to Y/Pb/Pr and see if that fixes your issue with at least the HD-DVR.
BTW- the HDMI information "1080i HD can only be selected if TV has HDMI inputs". is not correct.
check to make sure that you have all the cables plugged in for that model you need a total of 5 cables for the HD input. 3 component(red, green, blue) and 2 audio(red, white)
I had this same problem, got my HD installed yesterday w/ Direct TV, have had this TV since '02. The fact that is wasn't working, and Google, led me to your post in search of answers. I even went to a local retailer that sells the Mitsubishi TV's and they were as helpful as if I had gone to a drug store seeking the answer. So, between browsing other posts, and then going to the manual (who'd of thunk) I got my, and your, answer.
You need to do the following, nothing magic:
1)Connect the component video output of the Direct TV HD Receiver to the DTV inputs on your TV. The COMP 1/2 inputs are NOT 1080 compatible, only the DTV input. As another poster said, you must use component video cables, not the old red/yellow/white cables. you can lose too much signal quality w/ the old R/Y/W cables and your TV still won't recognize the 1080.
2)Set your receiver to a HD Channel, which are in the 70's.
3)Use the format selection on your remote and select until you get the 1080i Standard (or whatever your preference is) format.
4)Enjoy
Bottom line is the COMP inputs are not HD. Page 64 of the manual (at least the one i downloaded from mitsubishi-tv.com) is what gave me the final piece of the picture.
Good Luck!
