Question about JVC HX-C6 Shelf System
i have JVC Hx-d7 dvd stero palyer that turn off itself after few minute showing PROTECT message on Display.
protect mode keeps coming on
It was happening to me when i was beginning with maximum sound. u have to begin with normal or minimum sound,it will work normaly.I decrease the sound of my dvd player and protect message has gone.its works normally now.

How do i fix that i get the message on my cd play (JVC HX-D7) and it says PROTECT and shuts off by its self what do i do to fix the problem ?

Just finished servicing the same unit. it was not in protect mode but was distorted for about 30 sec after startup and would occasionally distort while in use. i removed the upper power circuit board and located several bad connections which i resoldred. i also found a bad cap 100uf at 25v but i think the main problem was the connections. now it is working perfect.

I had the same problem with a jvc stereo set, it turned out the two cables of a speaker were touching each other.

That could meen that something is improperly connected. You should try to disconnect everything, and then reconnect it step by step.
