Stuck toggle stick

My controller (Logitech Cordless) got left on the floor overnight on it's face and now it is stuck in the back position and nothing is working to un-stick it.The neutral position of the stick is making my character go in reverse. I took the batteries out and tried resetting, but nothing is working. Please help! Thanks
Eric

I would suggest buying a new controller if you want to skip the hassle of trying to fix this one, but if you insist on keeping this controller, then there could be a way to fix it. First try your best to smoothly trace the joystick around in a circle, and see if that unsticks it. If this doesn't work, apart from buying a new controller the only other thing to do would be to open the controller up and put lubricant on the bottom of the joystick, this will most likely work, but you might damage your controller in the process.

I can't figure out how to set up my controller to play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare. I can work some controls, but the right stick and left stick don't work how they should.

You are going to have to set up the controls in the controls menu of call of duty. You need to tell the program what you want the sticks to do.

My hcl gamepad start moving without my pressing in fifa 08

it sounds like it is stuck in neutral....I have a N64 and if you ever turn on the machine while pressing a button or touching the sticks it would be stuck moving (whether scrolling through a list endlessly or making your character move without your touching). To fix it you had to hold down a certain combo of buttons as you turn the machine on. Id look into a reset mode/button for the controller.

TDK DVD burner

Hello Halderman

Two possible things are happening.
(A) There is a program that has the DVD burner locked.
(B) It is mechanically stuck.

To open the DVD drive tray, please, follow these steps:

(1) Perform a normal shut down of your computer.

(2) Straighten out about half an inch or so of a thin metal paper clip.

(3) Look closely at the bezel (front face plate) of your DVD drive and find the tiny hole there. It'll be about the diameter of the tip of the paper clip.

(4) Insert the paper clip into the hole keeping it parallel to the floor or desk. (In other words, insert the paper clip straight in - not at an angle.)

(5) Slowly insert the paper clip into the hole and gently but firmly push in until the drawer latch is released. At this point, the drawer will pop open slightly. Slowly pull the drawer out to get the DVD or CD out. Be careful when pulling on the bezel. They are often held on by tiny plastic tabs that break off easily.

(6) S-l-o-w-l-y close the tray drawer or leave the drawer open. The drawer will close when the computer is turned back on again.

If you have ANY more questions, comments, observations, etc on this topic, please, post back here. We'll continue to work the problem w/ you until it is resolved.

If the information I provided here enabled you to resolve your problem....

...would you kindly take just a moment to close the problem by assigning a FIXYA rating for my "solution"? I would be very grateful for your generosity and show of appreciation.

Thank you once again for using FixYa! Have a beautiful day.

Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 connection problems

The 5 + 7 buttons work for teh OLD versions that take FOUR batteries and have the RED Logitech logo.
The New versions, which use TWO battreies has an ORANGE logo use buttons 6 + 8 to reset sticks.
Whatever postition the sticks are in when that battery is put back in will be condiered new calibrated center.
From Logitech:
To re-calibrate, please do the following:
Remove one battery.
Hold the six (6) and eight (8) buttons simultaneously while re-inserting the battery. (NOTE: Do not touch or move the mini-joysticks at all during this time. It is very important that the mini joysticks are allowed to center themselves during this step or the calibration procedure will not be successful.)

The mini-joysticks should now be re-calibrated.

Gears of War for Vista and Logitech Rumblepad 2 directional issues (fwd/rev)....

There is a way to fix it: go into your control panel under Game controllers, select your logitech cordless rumblepad 2 and hit

properties -> settings -> Enable Swap Mode -> close -> ok

Now start Gears of War and go into the options menu under controls for the controller.

Invert Axis = yes
Joystick Mode = Left-handed

This fixes the problem with the joysticks, but there is still a button fix that needs to happen. operations for buttons 2&3 are swapped, same thing with buttons 1&4, 5&7 and 6&8. I don't how to fix this problem yet.

Normally there is no reason to re-calibrate the Logitech Cordless Action Controller for PlayStation2. In rare cases where the mini-joysticks may need to be re-calibrated, you can use the process below. Please note that this process only works for the Logitech Cordless Action Controller for PlayStation2.
  1. Remove one battery.
  2. Hold the L1 and L2 buttons while re-inserting the battery. (NOTE: Do not touch or move the mini-joysticks at all during this time. It is very important that the mini joysticks are allowed to center themselves during this step or the calibration procedure will not be successful.)
The mini-joysticks should now be re-calibrated. Please note that in some cases you may need to resynchronize the gamepad and receiver after this procedure.
