Question about Xerox Phaser 7300DN Laser Printer

Xerox Phaser 7300DN will not collate

I have XP OS with a USB connection and two-sided printing. I have tried changing the collation setting to get this printer to collate. Strangely, when I print a single copy the pages come out face down in order. When i tell it to collate, the printer not only prints the number of two-sided printed pages but also prints 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 pages correctly but the come out of the printer face up with page 1 up & 2 down, page 3 up and 4 down a so one. I did read that there was so bios changes some time back but I didn't save the page at the time. Any ideas?

Try using the PCL driver from the Xerox website, rather than the Postscript one supplied with the printer.

I had the same problem and installing the PCL driver solved it.

You can download the manual from here: Reference page 24: "Collate With the Collate check box selected, one complete copy of your document will be printed and then repeated for the number of copies you selected. If the Collate check box is not selected, then each page will be printed for all the copies selected before the next page of the document is printed."

These are 2 different problems. The fusing issue is that the fuser roller is controlled by the "ATC Anvil calibration". This requires Transparencies (PN 42527801) to be run through the Manual feeder. You may need a technician for that, or buy a manual

The "reseat message" is probably a warping "top cover inner frame" 116-1548-00. You might need to replace that whole top.

Collate copies

The control to collate printing is in the driver. If your machine is equipped with an output tray that will offset sort the sets then they will be staggered otherwise they will be in one stack.

This machine does not collate while copying. Dah...shame on Xerox!

Printing page order

under print settings make you have "collate" option checked. There are different ways to find this depending on which operating system you are using.

Collate issue

Have you tried switching the type of driver. From PS to PCL ?

Will not print multiple collated two sided publications without individually sending each job

I would try changing the driver you are using. There are multiple drivers and it really sounds like that will resolve your problem.
For the drivers go to
on the tool bar select Support and Drivers.
Then enter your printer number, being phaser enter phaser 7300 in the search .
Select your operating system and there will be PS and PCL drivers.
I am 99.9 percent sure the issue is in the driver.
