The stand by light is on. I unplugged the tv and then turned the power back on. The power up light cam on and then it went back to stand by light and nothing. It is an insignia 42 inch plasma tv. Any clue?

Hello Check its power supply regulator board. The pop sound you heard may be due to an explosion to any electrolytic capcitors on it. If the line voltage exceeds, this fault will happen. just repalce the damaged component. It is best to replace this board as card basis.
Sounds like your element wire shorted out on back of unit.Try removing back panel and cheak wire on bake element .MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG OR TURN OFF BREAKER.Hope this helped you out:)
3 times blink shows lamp cover is removed or not installed properly on TV. Please take out lamp inside TV and check, seems its broken as you heard loud pop. Thanks.
If you have a Sony DLP, then the loud pop you heard is your lamp. The lamps last approx. 4K-6K viewing hours. Read your manual for replacement part number to reorder and very simple to replace yourself.
hello. the loud pop you heard was .maybe a fuse.? u need to uplug .!!! the set !!!. and take off the back and see if fuse is bown.? ok let me know.!! ok
