I can't find me WEP Key for Dynex. I need it to connect to internet on my DS and I know it's the same as a Network Key. But when I put my Network key in my Nintendo DS it keeps saying that it's invalid. It's really fustrating me. I'm also on Manual Set up.

WEP and WPA are security keys that you or whomever set up the router initually. If you have the password to the rouer or it is still set for the default password, you can go to the router's web setup page and see or reset the WEP/WPA.

I just got a Canon Pixma MG5370, Im running an XP cp to network thru Netgear N300 then thru DSL, the N300 dangles a Netgear 8 port wired Switch. I cant get the dam printer to connect correctly to print,...

Set a static IP on the Canon printer
e.g.
IP: 192.168.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.x.x
Gateway: 192.168.X.1

DHCP should always be enabled on the router for your other devices to work.

I forget my pass code

Go onto your router's wireless configuration to get the Passphrase.
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.

Install router in to clearwire home box

If it is a wireless router with a Cable connection, first check the back of the router and find the "YELLOW" or In Port and run a cat 5 cable from the back of your cable modem to the "IN" port on the router. Next power the router up and provided you already have a wireless card in your computer, belkin usually is a browser based interface located at 192.162.2.1, Netgear routers most always are www.routerlogin.com.

Once into the interface it's not too difficult to set your paramaters, wep key and network name. Once you've named your network say MYHOMENETWORK or something like that your computer should be able to find and access the router and internet connection by you providing the same wep key as you entered while setting up the router an example of a wep key would be f9dbbb9462. Use the identical key when connection from your computer to the router.

I dont know the wep key.So I cant connect to my printer Is there a charge to download driver updates?

Usually, device drivers are available free of cost on the manufacturer's website. So you should check out for drivers of your printer on its manufacturer's support website. Second, if you have forgotten the WEP key for your wireless modem/router, you can get it by going to the wireless settings on your router page. You can contact your modem/router vendor for free assistance on this. If you still fail to get the WEP key and don't mind using your printer through a cable, you can always use a USB connection to connect your printer to your computer.

I have just purchased a new computer and am trying to connect it to an existing Lynksys wireless network. To do so it asks for a WEP key or WPA key. Where do I find this?

Yes, I've also had some problems with Linksys. You need to configure the properties of your wireless network so that it automatically obtains the IP and DNS info. Go to your network connections, right click on your wireless network, go to properties, go to Internet Protocol Version 4, click Properties, and select the "automatically obtain" options.

This should fix your problem. However, it may not. The problem can be something else. But you do not need a WEP key or anything. I just talked to a representative from the company a few days ago and they said that you must always select the automatically obtain choices. If this doesn't work, I recommend calling Linksys. They will be able to help you and they are your best option.
Also, remember that if your computer is not recognizing the network, always try resetting your modem and restarting your computer.

To access the web-based utility, launch the web browser on
your computer (INTERNET EXPLORER), and enter the Router’s default IP address, 192.168.1.1, in the Address field/bar. Then, press Enter. A password request screen will appear. I dont know how to change the SSID Name and WEP Key.

You have to change it in the printer settings, not in the router! Otherwise you'll lose connectivity in all the other computers that use this router.
The SSID is the name you gave to your wireless network, and the WEP key is the password you set for your wireless connection.

Wep key

Use a computer that is currently connected to the router. Open Internet Explorer and go to http://192.168.2.1 It will ask you for a user name and password that you created during set up. The password is blank by default. You are then logged into the router and can view or change the WEP key, or any other settings for the router.
