when i turn my laptop on , it'll bring up 2 things, and that is either click f2 for setup or f12 for bootmenu, then i would click on the cd-rom drive and then ask it to install the software then when its done its tells me that there is no driver for it. the operating system is i think vista 32. and also i would put the driver software in and nothing happens. so basically i lost everything. i cant even go f8 to the safe mode. so i cant do anything. i need help. hope this explain everything i need. thank you

Assuming you're running Windows Xp you should try uninstalling and then reinstalling this driver from dell:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/format.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&deviceid=6466&libid=3&releaseid=R99254&vercnt=2&formatcnt=0&SystemID=INSPIRON%201200&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=-1&dateid=-1&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&impid=-1&checkFormat=true

Always check in the device manager after installing a driver to see if any problem accured.

I have istalled window XP and i had window vista...but after installation of new one my laptop inspiron 1525 sound system is not working..m trying to install sound driver but thats not properly...

You are download grading your Operating System to XP from Vista. Drivers for Vista and XP are diferent.

You can download the Audio drivers for XP from Dell Support Site for your laptop.
Check your "Device Manager" and uninstall the previous drivers and reinstall the XP Audio drivers downloaded from Dell Site.

Hope it helps.

My computer will not boot up.

First, if there is no password set you may be able to simply press enter leaving it blank and continue with the repair.
Alternatively, you can reinstall WIN XP over your existing installation which will replace your windows files with fresh copies from the CD.

For Laptops, Dell places the sticker with the product key on the bottom. It will be 5 sets of 5 letters and numbers, separated by a "-".

Dell drivers

FIRST TURN ON THE SPEAKERS AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE ON AND TURNED UP LOUD. IF STILL NO SOUND, THEN CLICK THIS LINK TO THE DRIVER FOR THIS LAPTOP AND REINSTALL THE DRIVERS FOR THE SOUND CARD.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1525&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=

THAT SHOULD WORK....IF NOT CONTACT DELL SUPPORT OR REINSTALL A NEW SOUND CARD AND DRIVER.

Dell inspiron 1501 laptop

Two Scenarios here 1) It is a notebook setup for a network and 2) Not on a network - you have setup the password yourself for your own security purposes.
In the first instance this can be easily solved by requesting your network administrator to reset your password. In the second scenario you can do three things 1) Re-Format and Install the OS again (in which case you will loose all data (2) Get a good password cracker (downloadable everywhere "Google-it" (3) Keep on trying until you get lucky (in the 1st scneario Keep on trying until you get lucky will not work as you will get logged-out on the 3rd or so attempt. Sorry but your'e in a bit of a spot and there is no easy way out except if it is the first scenario.
Good luck
