Today my Bosch Classisxx washing machine has started to make a loud banging noise when spinning. It looks like the drum has come loose. Is this repairable , or any suggestions? It is completely level

Remove the top cover and check the counterweight on the top of the tub
they come loose if so re tighten the screws
also could be bearings which is a long and expensive fix if given to a service company

My GE front load washer is banging during the spin cycle?

Reminds me of a old car I used to have lol

sorry about that.
Try making sure your load is spread evenly inside.
If it is then and it's perfectly level the the barrel is out of balance
you would need to pull it apart to see where it's knocking.
Sometimes it's as simple as getting a spirit level and just levelling it off both front and horizontal

Drum is making a loud banging noise during spin, it is brand new

Some banging or knocking during the ramp up to spin speed in this washer is normal. It is difficult to determine whether your washer has a problem or not based on your description. This banging lasts for varying amounts of time until the load is balanced and the washer ramps up to the full spin speed. If the load can not be balanced on the first attempt, the washer will ramp down and then tumble and attempt again to ramp up to speed. This may be the same thing that you are hearing when your washer ramps up to spin speed. Since the washer does spin at the full speed, there is not likely a problem with the washer. The components are designed to withstand repeated vibration and reasonable banging or knocking. The washer will vibrate to some extent at high speed. If you feel that the vibration is excessive, I recommend that you check the stability of the leveling feet. Press down on the diagonally opposing corners of the washer to check for play. If the washer rocks at all when conducting this test, I recommend that you adjust the leveling feet to eliminate this play even is the washer is not perfectly level after making this adjustment. This may help reduce the banging and vibration. Other than that if it is brand new call the people who you purchased it from so you don't void any warranties by taking it apart.

Why does my washing machine have a knocking sound when spinning?

  • Try readjusting the clothes inside the washer tub and distribute them more evenly. When one side of the washer has more weight than one side and then is soaked with water it weighs that side of the tub down more and when it spins the tub bangs the side of the washer.
  • Get a level and make sure you plum it front to back and side to side to make sure it is nice and level.

There is a knocking sound on the left side of the washer when it goes to spin cycle.

Sounds like the tub is hitting the wall of the washer. One thing to check is if the cloths are evenly distributed in the washer. If to many are on one side then it will spin out and bang. Also make sure the washer is level. If it is leaning one way to far it will also spin in that direction. You might want to check the belt as well. If that belt is severely worn and has stretched out then it will spin in a wider motion and bang the wall of the washer. These are the thing to check that would cause the problem described.

During the lest spin cycle ,the drum spins like its out of balance, with bad knock , viberation. even after making sure the load is balanced in the drum. even without a load or water, (empty) it still...

The machine sounds as if it might be unsteady. If it only happens on the spin it is probably slight. Try levelling it at the feet, using a spirit level helps enormously to get it level.

This sounds like the brakes have gotten some residue on them and are grabbing way too hard. The banging is the tub stopping too fast and the torque from this makes the tub bang into the cabinet. Just one bang at the end of a spin. Is this correct???
