When I turn on my sony DCR-TRV25E video camera to take video or picture, the viewfinder or LCD monitor is alway blank. So I can not get video or picture if I operate it. The other functions of the camera are Ok. I guess the CCD device may be broken. Pleae your opinion and help, thanks a lot!

Sounds like its fried, there is probably not a fix for the problem that will not cost more than the camcorder. It could be the power converter on the device, a voltage regulator or capacitor might have gone thus cutting power the certain parts of the device like the screen and CCD.
Hello Gary, sadly lots get the LCD screen go wobbly on the camera types you have, Sony did do a recall on the problem, did you register yours? if so you could have mislaid it. I had to send my Sony for repair as it went same as you camera has. Cheers, David
Inside the door hinge area is a small switch that normally would turn off the viewfinder and turn on the LCD panel. THat switch could be defective or mechanically not being switched. WIthout opening up the unit, I can not tell specifically. This shouldbe a simple repair for any shop that repairs cameras.
the flexwire of the lcd monitor of your camera is already cut.....it have to repair or replace now cause that wire is very small and only skilled technician can repaired it...lot of our customer it is the common problem of there camera that why in our shop we modified that and became more durable than the original wire....
