Try to see the connection cable and see if it has loosing or not properly connected with each other. you may check the manual of your psp for compatiblities of connections. see also the settings of your psp for the connection, maybe it has a configuration for it. hope that helps sir!

Check the box for Remote Start via internet in the Remote Play Settings (It appears if you turn Remote Start On or Off then On).

Also, Make sure remote computer is not shut, down or entering standby. Also, go to the device manager and on the network card, make sure the option to allow this device to shutdown to conserve power is not checked. You are losing connectivity to the remote computer is all and this is related one of the two above things.

For egt last post, my bad

You will need to set up port forwarding on your router. The port you need to open is UDP 9293. Connections on this port need to be forwarded to the IP address of your PS3.

ive done a bit or research on the error code you provided and this is what i found:

    Communication with the server failed.
    Error Code : (8001006F)
    - You are not allowed to access this server since its private.
    - You cannot access the server since its still "offline" (This is a Killzone.com Online problem)

''Yeah, it works like this. Basically you need to configure both the PS3 [which in this case is going to be the 'access point'] and the PSP, forget about the router. Make sure ATRAC is enabled on the PS3 and then go to network settings > remote play connection settings. When you're prompted to, enter anything you want in the SSID field, say 'remote play', then as encryption it'll only let you select WPA-PSK (AES), so choose that, and then you'll need the WPA key, enter any 8 numbers you want.

For address settings, you can just use the easy/automatic option, then just press X to save the changes, back to the XMB, go to network > remote play and select it. Now go to network settings on the PSP, infrastructure mode, then new connection [or just edit current one, doesnt matter], let the PSP scan for a connection and you should be able to select the one you created on the PS3, if you named it 'remote play' then it'll be there and show the signal strength. Hit X and then again select WPA-PSK (AES) as encryption and enter the WPA key you created on your PS3, you can once again go with easy/automatic address settings and then save the changes.

Once this is done, they both have the same settings. On the PSP just go to network > remote play, you should be able to see PS3's XMB, thats it. Figured it out on day one after a little while, the online instructions sony provided arent really self explanatory unfortunately, try it out and see what happens. This does need to be clarified.

Try to delete first the peer-to-peer connection or the Pairing connection between your PS3 and the PSP.
- Disconnect the PS3 from your wireless network
- Then disconnect the PSP from wireless as well.
- Let the PSP connect first to the wireless network (Infrastructure Mode). Make sure it can go online online when connected to the wireless network

- Now, let your PS3 connect to the wireless network as well (Infrastructure Mode). Or if you can connect the PS3 hardwired to your router that's good. Its recommended that your PS3 is hardwired to your router first to isolate the problem.

- If both can go online connected to the same network, try to click to watch play tv and see if that works.

Note: Just make sure your PSP and PS3 don't have any pairing or peer-to-peer connection directly to each other. Both must connect to your wireless router.

HI,

You need to forward TCP and UDP on port 9293. When connected locally to the router port forwarding is not needed as the ports (if you could see them) sit at the edge of the router where the internet connects. Connecting the PSP to the router means you bypass the ports.

  • Priya darshan Sep 28, 2008

Also please let me know the make and model no. of your router so that i can tell you how to port forward.

8001006f is network connection error.
This error means the psp cannot access the network.

Check first the cable and the connectors, if you have a replacement cable to test the connection, try it out.
Update your PS3, sometimes old firmware version do not work on some network.
Check all the network settings, both on PSP and PS3, if you do not set up the network, you also get error 8001006f.
Error 8001006f is also often related to problem with the Internet connection.
Check the box for Remote Start via internet in the Remote Play Settings, you get to this setting if you turn Remote Start On or Off then On, try playing with the setting.
If you use Internet connection, on the router try disabling the firewall for a while.
If you do not have Internet connection, that may be the reason why you get 8001006f.

If it still does not work, test the network connection on a different router, or on a different PS3, the cable or the software controlling psp connection may be defective.

The error code indicates it is a communication error

Have a try to fix your problem

  • Put PS3 in a DMZ
  • Port forward all the necessary ports (believe me i have them all there)
  • Disable all firewalls
  • Re-register the PSP to the PS3
  • Update ALL FIRMWARE
  • Change the communication settings on psp to highest performance (lowest quality)
  • Enable remote startup via internet in the remote play settings on PS3
  • Leave ps3 in remote play standby mode
  • Made sure PS3 NAT is type
Thanks for using Fixya

Hi,

The error code
8001006f- Remote Play connection error. No PS3 signal over your network.

To know about more error codes visit www.se7ensins.com/forums/psp-help/88780-known-psp-error-codes.html

Double check these things:

1) Make sure your PSP is displayed on your "Registered Device List" on the PS3.

2) Make sure your "Remote Start" is enabled in your PS3 options.

3) Make sure you are attempting to connect by selecting the internet access point and not your PS3 (go into "Remote Play" on your PSP and choose the wireless access point, not your PS3- it will automatically connect to the PS3 it's registered with).
4)Also when you connect you have to press HOME>SETTINGS>Communication Settings and change it to Type 4.

Hope my info fix your problem,
Thanx for using fixya,

Psp playing on pc

you must have a psp 2000 or the new 3000 to hook it up to a tv or pc. if you have the original psp, the audio/video cables are not compatable.

the original psp will still connect via wi-fi to the ps3, however this does not work for gaming.... only streaming from your ps3 to your psp will work.
