Blank screen on new XOVision x130VIDB MP3 Player - HELP!!!!

Hi,

I bought my son this mp3 for his birthday. We did what the manual said about plugging it into the computer with USB cord in order for it to charge. All we keep seing is a bright, white blank screen. At one point it finally said Loading and then the actual screen came up, but then it said goodbye and went away. What is the cause of this? I am very confused. Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

After 2 weeks of using, we now get the white screen. We never get loading or anything when hooked up though.

I bought this in September for my daughter. It seemed to work fine. I stored it until xmas. It worked fine for a few days, but then she brought it home from school and said the battery was dead. It works fine when it's connected to the usb, but as soon as I disconnect it, the screen keeps flashing white and after it does that for hours, the battery finally dies. It's too late to send it back, what can I do?

I need an extra USB "cord", whatever it is called. I cannot find one small enough to plug into my xovision 4G player!

what you need is not your average usb cord. there probably is a different shape on the mp3 player, right? if you still have the owners manual, it should tell you there. good luck
hope this helps ;-)

for notforreal, did you firmware upgrade? if you did, here the link to fix the problem,

For X120AUD2GB http://www.xovision.com/downloads/X120AUD2GB%20UPGRADE%20SOFTWARE.zip

For X120AUD4GB
http://www.xovision.com/downloads/X120AUD4GB%20UPGRADE%20SOFTWARE.zip

For songs that got deleted, or just simply disappear

is the file system of your player FAT32? if yes just format it in FAT. this will solved the problem of losing music.

1) Plug your Player to usb port of your computer
2) Wait until it is recognizes as flash drive
3) Go to My Computer, look for the removable disk
4)Right click, then click format, window will pop up, on file format, choose FAT
5) click start, wait until finish formatting.
6) then you can now start using your player.
