How do i replace the ashtray bulb in a 2004 santa fe

IS THE SOCKET GOOD (ANY CRUD BUILD UP IN THE SOCKET) CHECK THE WIRES TO THE SOCKET FOR GOOD CONNECTIONS.

Dude you need to do a circuit test to check for power at the bulb socket with someone pressing on the brake pedal, or use a short stick wedged against the drivers seat.
Have you had a towbar fitted recently, these are a constant source of faulty connections !

The 2004 Santa Fe transmission doesn't have a serviceable filter. There's one deep inside the transmission, but the transmission needs to be removed and disassembled to get to it. The only time that filter would be replaced is if the transmission were overhauled. This is the answer I found online, and after trying to change the filter on a 2002 Santa Fe.

for your blower switch concern it is very common for those to go bad. if you remove the ashtray and then the 2 screws you can pull the bottom panel off and remove the blower switch.

first remove the ashtray. there will be 2 screws where the ashtray used to be. remove those. then you just have to pry the panel off it will feel like it will break but then you hear a pop a couple of them. and then you replace the lights
