The problem could be with your computer's graphics. If you are using a graphics card, try plugging it into your motherboard graphics port, or vice versa. If you suspect the monitor, try it with another computer.

I have a hp v75 old desktop computer that I brought from my garage, I got everything plugged up, but the monitor wouldn't show anything.. I googled it and I didn't think it would work but I just...

As your monitor had showed up once before, I assume it is still in a good condition. The next time, you were not able to wake up the monitor by pressing the power button on your CPU cabinet, which means, the power supply to the monitor may have been interrupted. To check whether your monitor is working properly, plug it to any direct connection and see if the power button on the monitor is flashing. If this works, get everything plugged up, check all the connections properly and try to run the computer again.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay.

My samsung 22" lcd tv

The only thing that comes to mind, as you haven't said if you have had it working on it or not, is the fact that it is not capable of handling the resolution you have got set on your computer. to fix this set your computer to a low resolution, connect to your TV and see if it works. If it does increase your resolution setting until it stops working. (if you get it wrong it will revert to the setting before). Hope this helps.

Acer computer giving a message "Input Not Supported"

First of all try to to go into "Safe mode" and change the resolution settings and then start it again. If the message comes again then Unplug computer and monitor, then first plug in monitor, then plug in computer. This way give time for computer to configure LCD monitor first.

Now also you are getting the same problem then check out your video card if it is working properly or not.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time

Hello, I have a HP 22w LCD monitor, running

Can you try the monitor on another computer? Also, make sure the cable is tight on the monitor side. And you also may need to replace the cable between the monitor and the computer.

PC running without anything showing on monitor.

Hi

Sounds like you have somehow deleted the driver for the monitor - - you need to plug another monitor into your PC - you can use the laptop you are using now - then you need to download the driver for the monitor again when you can see on the screen

My 2 usb ports on my monitor not working

In order for the two USB ports on the monitor to work, the monitor itself has to be connected to your computer via another USB cable with connectors that look like this:
8130925.jpg
The flat connector goes into an available USB port on your computer, the square one plugs into your monitor. Check if your cable is connected properly or exchange it with another one.
To eliminate that there is something wrong with your "not recognized device", plug this device into another USB port of your computer. The reason to preferably remove the device safely in Windows is that you can loose data if you just unplug it. If it is an external harddrive, it can get damaged, because you interrupt the power and the read/write head can get "stuck". So check this device on another computer or USB port.

If you have any other questions or something is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment and I'm happy to help.

My samsung lcd monitor is very dark and can't be adjusted

Hi strat1971,

So the monitor buttons don't work also right? Yeah, normally you should try to adjust the brightness control first on the monitor. If that doesn't work next step would be ofcourse to check the cabling of the monitor to the computer. Try reseating the video cable from the back of the computer. If no go, then the next step is running the monitor self-test. You can do this by just disconnecting the video cable from the back of the computer, and leaving the monitor plugged into the power outlet.

All monitors has a form of self-test that it does to check the functionality, usually a picture or a color bar display on the screen or even a message that the monitor is on self-test. If it's still dim on that screen, then sadly you already have a hardware problem that may require to you buy a new monitor.

Hope this helps!

Peace! :)

My emachines monitor has no picture, hard drive is functioning properly. Monitor is black

if you do not get a screen with a LCD monitor its likely you have a inverter problem or BACKLIGHT problem. you might need to replace the LCD backlight or replace the monitor on the desktop.
check to see if the laptop can get a picture by plugging in a monitor to it, im sure theres a connection for external monitor.

theres also a FN (function key) command to switch from lcd to external monitor. always test before commiting to replacing a monitor.

The desktop, you might want to test another monitor on the desktop just to be sure the monitor is gone or dead. if you see on the monitor a OSD saying "No power or No Signal" or you can pull up the OSD(on screen display menu). then the monitor is not dead.

might be the computer even though the computer powers up doesnt always mean the computer is working.

i would check the motherboard for blown capacitors or funky smelling(burnt plastic)aroma. Make sure the computer is off before checking.

get back to us!

thanks
