The problem could be with your computer's graphics. If you are using a graphics card, try plugging it into your motherboard graphics port, or vice versa. If you suspect the monitor, try it with another computer.

Plug it in and all you see is white screen

There are two problems, microprocessor controller not working properly, and the LCD panel is defective, replace the video cord from the computer to the monitor if possible just to rule out the screen issue, if no change! I recommend replacing the item due to cost over runs to repair.

Hello. my samsung monitor does not opened, why?

Hi There

Firstly, lets go through the steps of installing a new monitor. I do not know if your monitor worked previously, so let us gothrough the basics.
  1. Make sure that the monitor is plugged in properly into a power source (wall socket or UPS).
  2. Make sure the power source is switched on.
  3. Make sure your monitor is switched on (a led on the monitor must burn). If the LED does not light up, you have a power problem or your monitor is faulty
  4. Make sure that the monitor's data cable is plugged in properly at the back of the computer AS WELL AS at the back of the monitor.
  5. You might have than one place at the back of the computer where the monitor can be plugged in. Try them both.
  6. Switch on the computer. You should see the Power on Test (white letters on black background). If youee this, your monitor is working. Then the problem lies probably with your graphics card, or the resolution of the monitor is set too high (I doubt is this can be on a LCD or LED monitor, but it is a thing that should be checked.
WIth all the above checked, it should work. If not, try another monitor. If another monitor does the same, the problem is with your computer or graphics card.

Hope it helps

Start up problem with Samsung Sync Master 731BF 17" monitor

Your internal power supply is failing. There are parts called capacitors that are not functioning correctly and this causes the power supply to not be able too stabilize the voltages that run the monitor. After repeated power cycles the capacitors will hold enough charge to function until you urn the unit off and then they discharge so you have to start all over again. We have a step by step repair guide article posted at: This should get you back going again. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service, you can get that information here:

Samsung 913V LCD Monitor--No display when vga plug plugged in

1. please check by pressing num lock or caps lock key to verify that your machine is booting up, if yes then check the cable and if after changing the display cable it doesnt show up anything, it means you have a faulty unit

2. if numlock/caps lock key doesnt work, then your machine is not booting up, please check for loose ram etc.

The power button should be on the FRONT BOTTOM RIGHT. and there should be a little led/light next to it. make sure everything is plugged in correctly and press the power button, the led should light up, and then boot your computer.

Don't bother... You've got a busted backlight inverter. Need to replaced a new one or repaired it.
