My machine purchased in summer of 2005 seems louder during the spin cylce plus it shakes so severly that it "travels." I've had Sear repairmen look at it when it was under warranty (3 years) and was told it's just the drum springs..they smooth out and the drum can then get out of "wack'. I'm sure that's a technical term. It's now traveling so much and such an annoyance that my husband wants to buy a new machine. Help!
Moved a Kenmore Elite and when we put it back in place it vibrates loudly. We tried leveling it and that has not worked. Any ideas?
Is this a top loader or front loader and I need a exact model number off the label inside the lid or door.

I too have the same problem....the banging during the spin cycle and the traveling. My husband is very handy and can fix it himself if we could figure out what is needed to repair this problem.
I have a Kenmore Series 90 top loader, model # 110.2891279. I have leveled the machine several times; however, it is very noisy and walks across the laundry room during the spin cycle.

I have the same problem... We bought our Kenmore Elite July 2005 and haven't had a problem until now. When it first started (about 3 weeks ago) I thought the load of clothes I had put in were lop-sided. I leveled the clothes out, but it kept occuring and still is on every load. Do we need to buy a new washing machine?
