Paper reloading on X5250

It sounds like a scanner hardware problem. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

It could an alignment problem, a paper jam, or something blocking the paper path. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges. While the cover is open, check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the cartridge carrier's path. Check any transparent strip(encoder strip) that has become loose from its position. If there's nothing out of the ordinary, close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert both cartridges and make sure they properly inserted and secured. Close the cover and try to print again.

Sometimes high cotton content paper will deposit paper "dust fibers" in the paper path and roller gears. Or there is a small torn piece of paper in the paper pathway somewhere. I have found bits of paper in the upper roller section on my Lexmark 5470 in the past. If that is not the problem unplug the power supply for a few minutes and then restart it. That should clear the error message.

I ahd this problem to the onlt thing you could to is reboot the system.

paper pick up roller have problem.
you can clean it ,and change or go service center .

Is the feeder completely stopped feeding the paper then its hardware issue
you may need it to service however you try these steps :

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

the gears in the printer which pulls the paper r either blocked some where or r worn out.and needs replacement.

I also misplaced my cd to install my x5250 lexmark printer

I have to select -print first then when I get the "load paper" message, turn the printer off . wate a few seconds then turn it back on. I will then feed the paper and print. I may end up replacint the printer.

Very pesty!!! Ok, it may be a paper feeder issue. It could be a partially jammed roller or carriage, open up unit as if you were to change cartridge, use a torch to check for the tiniest paper block or foreign material. You would be surprised what can fall or accidenatlly get in them...funny that, i just cleared a tiny piece of toddler debris from my lexmark, and i missed it the first time. Also, paper sensors can start to go and die, hope it is not this!!! as it will need replacing if it is. If it is printing, it may also be too much info from pc to printer. Does it only do this at certain times or all the time? Try clearing the print jobs memory by printing a small document but click on print icon and choose cancel all print jobs. Wait until it does. Try printing again. Also open notepad as if you were to print it, right click on file and print, and check if printer says ready...indicating it is functioning status. this can help diagnose problems sometimes it will give you an error code or message you need.
