How do I stop my hunter's ceiling fan from causing the breaker to trip?

Is it a new installation? Your ceiling fan should never trip a breaker unless it has a problem in the fan or light fixture attached to it.

Two years ago we redid our kitchen and installed a Hunter fan. About a month ago I pulled the chain to change the fan speed. It must have stripped or something because now that chain won't work at all....

Contact hunter and they will send you a replacement switch.. Its very easy to change. You do not have to remove the entire fan to do so.

Hunter Customer service is. 1-888-830-1326

Hunter does in fact make some of the best ceiling fans there are.

P.S. You might be sure that the chain simply hasn't bound up a bit.. Check to make sure its not hung on something.

I have a white, five blade 54 inch ceiling fan that was given to me by a friend. I mounted it in my basement which has a low ceiling and so I was not able to utilize the lights which were mounted on it....

Charles, what you need is a ceiling sconce. These are used not only for decoration, they are used in situations like yours. Then the ceiling cowl that came with fan goes up against it. The sconce is usually glued to the ceiling with construction adhesive. To use this, will require removing the the fan to install the sconce. You can find them at Lowe's & Home Depot , in many sizes, designs and prices.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I just installed a new hunter ceiling fan (model #27301) and it will not work at all

I'm going to have to ask you the same question(s) that Hunter tech service will ask, if you called them.

1. Are you certain you have it wired correctly? Hunter's color coding & installation instructions are one of the worst in the business.

2. Is the wall switch ON? In addition, is the circuit breaker for the wall switch ON?

The remote was dropped and now the fan does not work. It is not an easy task to get to the fan to replace since the ceiling is 18 ft high. We were sent a new remote and told it would work, but it does...

The remote has to be programmed to match the existing fan's receiver code. The programming information should have come with the hand held remote. If it didn't, contact whomever you purchased it from.

I have a Hunter ceiling fan Model 23262-530 which has a minature light fixture base. I need more light. Is there a standard base with higher wattage lights that I can put in this fan Thanks, bill...

Bill, Hunter makes many different light kits that will fit just about all of their fans. You can find them at home centers like Lowe's and Home Depot. Also, I believe that Harbor Breeze Light Kits are interchangeable with the Hunter Light kits. You'll find those there, too.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

The receiver located in the fan has failed. (This was a fairly common occurrence when I
worked for a major improvement store). Here is the technical/parts number for Hunter fan
