There are tutorials at Youtube, com on how to do this go there and type in your make and model and how to replace a screen on your model. It is simple for those who have done it. On the screen itself will be rubber plugs those are the covers for the screws. Make sure to mark all wires and replace them exactly the same as them came off draw a diagram. Remove the back of the laptops and locate the two wires they are grey and black usually these are attached to the Network Card clips be sure to replace them back the same way when done. You will also have to remove the plate the long one in the front where the power button sits and the speakers are located. There are approx 3 or four screws under the battery remove the battery and any screws that hold down the hinges. Remove the plug for the monitor from the lower case as well. You can now remove the whole screen. Important: Do not touch where it says do not touch along the top of the screen is a sealed ban plastic do not push on this or handle it any other way but the edges. Replace everything the same way it came off and be sure no wires are pinched etc. Power up and off you go. I suggest the video tutorial Click Here please. John
it sound like you have a stuck pixel, but need to know what color it is.is it a color streak across the screen or white or what?if it a color mark like red green blue yellow so on those are pixel if it's and you can download a program called dead pixel buddy and run program as instructed.how that help
this is most likely caused by the 'screen on' switch - on some pc laptops its an actual switch and you can identify it because its a plastic pin protruding near the hinge and when you close the lid the pin is depressed turning off the screen it may have become stuck in the don position turning off the screen on some PC laptops its a magnetic switch and can be re-activated by running a small magnet along the hinge or along the outer lower edge of the laptop near the touch-pad - If neither of these work try restarting in 'Safe Mode' by pressing 'F8' repeatedly on start-up and selecting safe mode, then changing what ' closing the lid does ' by clicking on 'Start - Control Panel- Power Options'..No screen still after trying to get to 'Safe Mode' means you may need a new screen replacement...
If the magnet works then keep all little magnets away from your laptop in future - this includes those little annoying ones at the tip of some devices like mechanical clutch pencils, cellphone cases, and other small cases that do not have a visible latch to close them.....
Hi there. With all HP laptops the keyboard screws should be clearly marked, look close under the laptop for 2 icons that look like a keyboard, that should be them, just unscrew them and the keyboard should come away.
