Mine did the same thing....but being an electrician I took it apart and put a meer on teh motor leads and found that the windings were open. So basically the motor is shot. So unless you can get a replacement motor it's toast.

Mine developed the same problem except it stopped blending while I was using it. Being an electrician I opened mine up and put a meter on the motor windings and found that the windings were open. So basically the motor is shot...unless you can find a part number for motor replacement or if your's is still under a might just be easier to buy a new blender.

Ninja stopped working

Our Ninja 1100 also stopped during blending.
We set it aside and chopped manually.
Next day tried it again - it works.
Reason: motor probably has overheating protection. Must wait until motor cools down enough to re-start. So don't overload or overwork it.

Cuisinart Quick Prep is not working properly

I think the ice was too hard for a hand blender. I think the impact has caused the blade to separate from the shaft or caused the shaft to separate internally. If your blender is still under warranty you might be able to get it fixed. Note: none of the "Smoothy" recipes in the manual call for ice. One uses ice-cream. One uses "partially thawed frozen strawberries" and one uses sherbet.

When trying to blend things like frozen fruit or frozen yogurt with the Vitamix, the blade stops moving, but the motor continues running. Even if there's only enough frozen yogurt to cover the blades, it...

Frozen elements are generally not recommended for blenders of any brand. They may cause the blade assembly to stop moving completely, or to "bog down," and this may eventually damage the motor. It is recommended that frozen fruits and/or yogurt be thawed when possible before placing into a blender. If this is not a possibility for you, I would use a "pulse" or "chop ice" function to rapidly spin the blades for just a moment. This will chop the contents in smaller, more manageable parts. This should be done before adding other liquid ingredients.

While mixing anything the mixer will slow down and usually stop.

This is normal for household type blenders. Sounds like you do a lot of blending. Commercial blenders provide more power and can withstand lots of blending projects. Thicker the material the more load on the motor. As the motor heats up the winding become hot and the motor begins to breakdown,
I really hope this helps answer your question. If not please let me know... Thanks, Sea Breeze
