Registeration process Every sidekick lx is suppose to ask for your registeration from the first time that you turn it on , mines didnt. I've been waiting for activation & the sidekick tells me network data services are currently unavailable. Either my GPRS APN setting is incorrect or my account isnt configured for GPRS. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. i've called tech support & they're telling me that my phone is fine & that it working properly. I've checked my account and its fine. But i need to register my phone. AND I DONT KNOW HOW. But its not; i have to use a shortcut every time i use the phone to get the menu because the first thing that i see on my sidekick is the "waiting for activation" page. Please help me. I dont know what else i need to do. & their department wont help me. I've tried 3 times. I really hope you guys can help. thanks.

It says just Network lock only,You need to enter the Code if it locked Network mean.You can get the Unlock code at here

You can try to reseat the lcd cable and make sure it is tight. It that fails then you will need to replace the LCD screen

More than likely, the trackball on your Side LX is really dirty. Overtime, dirt and grime gets in between the ball and the sensors.

It is really easy to clean it, you will need q-tips and IPA alcohol.

1.your sim needs a password 
2.turn off ur sidekick 3 
3.place ur cingular card in 
4.turn on sidekick 3
5.itz gunna ask you for a special code ignore it
6. go to settings den sim center 
7. if ur sim lock is disabled jus enable it 
8.den change ur sin pin to wateva you want
9.once u change it you will signals bars go up
10.go 2 settings network options 
11. press scan scan select manually 
12. select ur network 
13. and datz it your sim iz workin on sidekick 3

if u turn it off u will have 2 do da same process again
this will work with all sidekicks

just ask the phone company provider for your PUK2 AND PUK codes.
when you get them go to the jump menu dial
**05*PUK*passcode*passcode#
the passcode is any 4-8 digits you'd like, that are NOT, AND I REPEAT N - O - T consecutive.
(for example 2736 is good whereas 1234 or 9876 is bad)
if it asks your for the code again put in the PUK2 then go to settings> network options goto the "scan and select manually" button and chose your carrier.

Hi there! It just has to be reset again....

Press all 3 at buttons at same time -> "one", "zero" and "at" (1- 0- @)
then hold down the "R" until it reboots (logos appear)
Now you should be able to register the phone as if it was new

Sounds like your charger port is busted. Ti is a common problem on sidekick 3 and can effect sidekick IDs as well. A fairly cheap workaround is to get an external battery charger. It will have a slot to charge the sidekick battery external formthe phone. They sell on ebay fior about 25 dollars.

The sidekick ID and sidkeick 3 batteries are the same so it will work. Check then out here
