How to convert/rip DVD to High definition video(HD TS, HD AVI video, HD WMV...

Hi, guys. As a "HD video" fans, I want to propagate some knowledge of High definition video at the beginning. High-definition video today we will talk about -- not just for broadcast television and professional videographers, but now in under-$1000 consumer camcorders, and supported by sub-$100 consumer video software that can run on your desktop.

There are many advantages of High definition video including clearer pictures, superior sound quality, progressive scanning etc. And the main HD video format includes HD TS video, WMV HD, AVI HD Video, MPEG-2 HD (called HDV) and MPEG-4 H.264 (AVCHD) etc. For more info, refer to "HD video Download, converter"...

Oke, let's get to the fun stuff. Have you ever noticed this phenomenon recently?

Many people complain that the video quality is not as clean as the original DVD after they ripped DVD to standard video. For an ordinary DVD movie is often 7-8 GB in size, if we convert them to standard video formats the size would be hundreds of MB, so we have to face the problem that the code compress process would destroy most of unimportant data and the video quality get bad. Then what can we do to resolve this issue? The answer is to rip DVD to High Definition video formats, for these HD videos are often bigger than standard video and decrease the video damage. So the HD video seems to be lossless compared with the original DVD.

To finish the task, we need a tool to help us. The tool we use is Daniusoft DVD Ripper, which can rip DVD to High definition video formats such as DVD to MKV, HD AVI, HD MP4, HD WMV, HD MOV, HD ASF, HD VOB etc. This program is very easy-to-use, just a few click to finish the conversion without any learn curve.

Free download the amazing DVD to HD video conversion software: Daniusoft DVD Ripper

Step1. Launch Daniusoft DVD Ripper, click "Add" to load Real DVD or DVD-like source such as DVD folder, ISO files, IFO files. Here we add a real DVD from DVD Rom.

Step2. After you add the DVD, you can edit the video effect by clicking "Edit" from the menu bar, this software video editing function is very powerful and utilitarian which includes video crop, video effect adjust, video trim and watermark edit.

Step3. Select the output video format, this software supports various video formats, almost any video formats you can name, and it supports many PMPs such as iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP, Creative Zen etc. Here we select HD MP4 as output format.

Step4. Click the "start" button to start the conversion. Then you can get a cup of coffee and come back later to check if the conversion is finished. Furthermore, this DVD Ripper offers the option to automatically shut down the computer when the conversion completed.

The original DVD file is near 5 GB, the conversion test on Windows vista 32 Pentium 4 single core system and it works very fast, which takes about 1 hours. And below is this DVD ripper performance screen.

If you use a dual core processor I imagine you would be very happy with the speed of the conversions.

Ripping DVD to MPEG video with Daniusoft best DVD to MPEG ripper ...

DVDs are high quality, but they are large in file size, and you can't edit them, as well as put your DVDs on PC or other portable players. So, tons of people are looking for methods of converting their DVD movies to MPEG format and so on.

MPEG stands for "Moving Pictures Experts Groups". It is a group working under the directives of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) and the International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC). The groups work concentrates on defining standards for the coding of moving pictures, audio and related data. The MPEG standards consist of different Parts,such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3, MPEG-4, etc.

However, commercial DVDs are generally encrypted. In order to rip DVD to MPEG, you'd need to break that encryption, which can be done by Daniusoft DVD Ripper. It is fast and easy-to-use DVD to MPEG converter software, which has professional performance in converting DVD to MPEG video format, ripping DVD to MPEG with great quality and super fast speed.

Also, it is very easy to use. All you need to do is:
  1. 1. Importing you DVDs;

Compared with other DVD to MPEG converters,Daniusoft dvd ripper is much easier to customize. You can crop, trim, adjust video effect, design watermark before rip DVD to MPEG by clicking the "Edit" button on the interface. It allows higher level customization to convert DVD to MPEG by customize output parameters, merge several chapters into one file, selecting target subtitle and audio track, etc. It's the best DVD Ripper and DVD to MPEG converter for you.

Tips: MPEG has standardized the following compression formats and ancillary standards:

* MPEG-1: The first compression standard for audio and video.
* MPEG-2: Transport, video and audio standards for broadcast-quality television.
* MPEG-3: Developments in standardizing scalable and multi-resolution compression.
* MPEG-4: MPEG-4 uses further coding tools with additional complexity to achieve higher compression factors, including
MPEG-4 Part 2 (or Simple and Advanced Simple Profile) and MPEG-4 AVC (or MPEG-4 Part 10 or H.264). MPEG-4 AVC may be used on HD DVD and Blu-ray discs, along with VC-1 and MPEG-2.
* MPEG-7: A multimedia content description standard.
* MPEG-21: MPEG describes this standard as a multimedia framework.
* MPEG-A: Multimedia application format.
* MPEG-B: MPEG systems technologies.
* MPEG-C: MPEG video technologies.
* MPEG-D: MPEG audio technologies.
* MPEG-E: Multimedia Middleware.

Sony DVD+R AccuCORE disc recorded on HP dv4-2045dx laptop notebook will not play on Bose 321 system Get disc incompatible message What can I do?

Sometimes dvd players will have problems playing certain types of recordable discs. You might need to switch from the Sony brand and try a different one. Also there are DVD+R and DVD-R types. The Bose might have issues trying to play a "+" type disc. Also make sure that the disc is being properly "finalized" by the burning software you are using so the Bose system will recognize the disc. The burning software I use is called Nero Burning Rom and it is very easy to use. It allows you to control the burning for various applications and can help with "problem discs". If you are able to play other burnable discs in the Bose and the Sony discs are the only one giving you the problems then it is probably just that brand and you will not be able to use them with your Bose. And just a note some older DVD burners can only burn "+" type discs or "-" type discs but not both. Your computer according to the specifications from HP should not have a problem burning both types as long as the drive is the original.

WONT PLAY COPIED DVDS ANYMORE

were you able to play copied dvd's on this unit ? if yes then check setting on the dvd menu for things like DVD REGION and DVD playback speed and types of DVD playable, this is quite likely as i ha this problem on a pioneer model previously.

do those copied dvds no longer play on the same unit ? and you have tried them again on another unit or dvd player ?

rather i suspect problems with the DVD burn itself and its compatibility with the dvd player you are palying them on now (asuming settings in DVD enu are correct as loosely outlined above in point 1)

it may be that if this is a new dvd player than the one you played them on before, the dvd's may have to be closed in a certain way using your burning software so that they are playable on standard dvd players.
please also check that region is not an issue and that the recording speed of the dvd (the rip speed) is not too high or too low for your unit, as this data is stored on the written dvd and is responsible for the quality of the palyback data.

Player won't play CD/DVD

Various issues can cause drives to occasionally balk at writing optical discs. These run the gamut of physical, hardware, and software troubles.

Inappropriate or dirty media may be to blame. Make sure to match the type of recordable disc to the drive, and check each disc for fingerprints or other contaminants. If a disc is dirty, wipe it with a clean, soft cloth in a straight line from the center hole outward. Try a quality optical drive cleaning disc if you suspect dust contamination on the drive’s laser lens.

Some discs don’t perform well with certain drives, even within their rated speeds. Try recording at a slower speed and then with a different brand of disc. Also, on PCs, verify that the temporary file storage area on the hard drive used by the burning software has enough free, defragmented space. Allocate at least 5GB for a DVD (9GB for a double-layer [DL] disc) and about 1GB for CD burning.

Copy VCR to DVD

you have to convert it.....best by a computer useing a video card to digital converter. then if I was you I would clean it up and edit using a nice software program like Liquid edition...but that is expensize just use the moviemaker that came with XP...after you finish you need another software program like Nero with a special progarom that converts to dvd from anything digital.Also you must have a dvd writer. Dvd are 4.7gigabyetes where as cd writers are 700 meg. good luck
