HI,
I purchased a part to fix my printer online from HP in Roseville, CA. It is not the right part but there are no return instructions. Any suggestions?

The error is caused by the small micro chip on the magenta toner cartridge. You may be able to purchase a chip from a toner cartridge remanufacturer but I would return the cartridge to where you bought it and tell them it is faulty and have it replaced.
Otherwise purchase another toner cartridge.
I suggest you reset your GPS, to reset your gps, follow
this steps, turn off your device. Press down on bottom right corner of
the
touchscreen, and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted
whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you
really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press ?Yes? to reset
(warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding)
or enter maintenance mode. Once the GPS unit is reset, remember to place the device
outside where there is a clear unobstructed view of the sky for 15 ? 30
minutes in order for it to requires fix to GPS satellites. with this, this should fix the problem.
the printer will not accept it, have it return where you purchased and tell them that you have recieve an expired ink cartridge and your printer wont accept or charged it when it is installed, send it back and have it replace
I was looking for a manual online but did not find any, you can check your manual on how to reset the printer. They normally have it in the manual and once you reset it, the printer will return to factory settings including releasing the scanning part.
I went online with HP chat last night and the fix is to go into the printers folder and right click the printer, go into properties and advanced then check off "print directly to the printer"....worked for me :-)
