Question about Cameras

1 Answer

My Sony HC47 camcorder is showing exposed pictures in the viewfinder, I can record indoors but not outdoors because all I get is a white picture , with some scraps where the subjects are darker. It is only just out of warranty, any ideas please? Peter

I should add that this problem is intermittent, it has now cleared itself, but this has happened three times now in two days.

Hi,
1st try to reset your camera, hope problem should be resolve.
If this action doesn't effect, let me know. I will guide you further but it requires to open camera and bring out lens assembly for further check up as it seems aperture and iris problem.

No simply way to open it. Lens mechanism requires high skills and as you said, you will find few parts left over after packing up it, so better get use to this intermittent problem... lol

Viewfinder and LCD screen only show black and record black

If camcorder shows old recorded tapes picture with correct colors in LCD but does not show live view in camera mode to record new movie then its ccd imager chip failure.
And if camcoder shows live view and old recorded tapes in its eye piece view finder but does not show any thing in LCD the its problem of broekn/ cracked flexible wire between lcd board and main board of camcorder.
Let me know your finding with bit detail to provide you solution/ helpful info.

Konica Minolta Dimage E50 suddenly over expose. Indoor at night, the picture looks almost normal. Daytime the wall will be too white. Outdoor the picture is white out.

Hi!
The shutter cable inside the lens has broken - a common problem with the E50. The cable moves as the lens zoom so it brakes at some point and then camera isn't able to control the shutter - control the amount of light taken. If you look closely at the over exposed pictures, you will notice horizontal lines accross them.
The shutter or whole lens unit has to be changed. It is quite expensive, I believe it's not worth it. You can contact Sony / Konica - Minolta service center.
I work in a Sony / Konica - Minolta service center and have repaired a lot of these.

Hope this helps!

Tom

If you are not getting good color picture then I would advise to perform white balance adjustments in service data with help of concern service manual.
This kind of adjustments required service data handling tools, reference color charts, proper and up to date service manual etc.
Please contact nearest Sony service center for proper fix.
